Delaware’s AG Race: Two MAGAts To Vie For 38% Of The Vote.  Although the WDEL story doesn’t mention it (c’mon, Journalism 101), Murray will run against one Chuck Welch in the Rethug Primary. (For you completists, incumbent AG Kathleen Jennings is expected to run for reelection.)  Looks like it’ll be a contest as to who loves the police more:

“Delawareans want attorney general to work with law enforcement to keep violent criminals off the street. They want an attorney general who will protect their rights and freedoms, rather than attempt to take them away and impose a ‘woke’ agenda,” Murray said. ”

“The message has been sent that Delaware is open for crime,” she said. “Well I have a message for criminals: when I’m Attorney General, I’ll be tough as nails, and I’m going to prosecute you to the full extent of the law…The Office of Attorney General is not a place for social experiments. It is the place to enforce the law.”

That translates to me as: “Blahblahblah.”

Wanna Participate In Delaware’s Redistricting Process?  Here’s How.  Specifically, register for this:

Public Hearing on Redistricting – September 28, 6-8 p.m.

During this meeting, lawmakers will give an overview of the redistricting process, explain how districts are drawn, and offer an overview of Delaware’s data trends. They also will solicit public comment from residents regarding various districts and communities throughout the state.

The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. Register in advance here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_ikimzg7nTGGQLWUt4BVrPg.

OK, I have to ask the question:  This isn’t gonna be the only public hearing, is it?  I mean, they’re not scheduled to show any maps at this meeting.  Please tell me this is not The New Transparency. Can someone in charge fill us in on this?

Cops Refuse To Get Shots. Die.  Rampant self-selection continues.  BTW, here’s a word we likely all can relate to, whether we want to admit it or not:

Vaxenfreude.

You can find vaxenfreude in the comments section under a story about podcaster Joe Rogan getting Covid, or in a tweet about a local health department advising against taking Ivermectin. There is plenty of vaxenfreude when a radio host who slammed the vaccines gets sick or dies, and in moments like that, it’s hard for many to feel like the emotion isn’t justified.

Politico sez we should resist this impulse.  I used to. Not any more.  Fuck these people.

Idaho Rations Care To Those Most Likely To Survive. It’s also happening in Montana and Alaska. Hey, the Freedums were warned. They didn’t listen.  Can we whip up some mashed potatoes for your last meal?

‘Florida Is Vietnam’: Don Winslow (read his stuff, he’s excellent), places DeSantis’ COVID policies in proper perspective. Watch that video.

The Man Behind Saturday’s Upcoming ‘Free The Political Prisoners’ Rally.  Hey, even Trump has said that it’s a ‘set-up’.  Unlikely that there will be much of a crowd.  Turns out the guy behind it is a grifter. Knock me over with a feather:

After the November election, Braynard, who worked on the data team for Trump’s 2016 campaign, raised over $700,000 for a project that collected supposed evidence of voter fraud. He produced what he described as analyses of the 2020 vote in swing states where he claimedmassive amounts of illegal votes had been cast. During a hearing in Arizona, he testified alongside Rudy Giuliani, who as the personal lawyer for Trump was scheming to overturn the election. Braynard’s so-called data was actually used in a number of GOP lawsuits that sought (and failed) to nullify the election in key states. This was a lucrative enterprise for Braynard; he was personally paid large fees to serve as an expert witness on voting data in several of these court cases.

An Idle Thought: If you’re a progressive prospective candidate for legislative office who has deferred your candidacy b/c the incumbent is/was a progressive trailblazer, you might want to jump in now if you feel the incumbent is no longer able to have any impact whatsoever.  Just sayin’…

What do you want to talk about?

Checked out the Delaware Republican Party site. No mention of it whatsoever. Not even on the calendar.

Nicki Minaj told her followers the vaccine will make them sterile. The CDC said it won’t. The pop-star’s fans protested outside the CDC chanting, “We believe Nicki. Fauci lied to us.” The relative worthiness of Nicki Minaj and Anthony Fauci on a serious medical matter is actually being presented as a matter for debate. Just another day in the life of an Idiocracy.
