I can’t even with the idiots trying the sleight of hand and look over there tactics, but what needs to happen ASAP is all these sites where the loons are posting manifestos and plans and threats need to be investigated immediately and if there are credible threats in their messages they need to be arrested immediately. because after another mass shooting we will here the “authorities” say “he slipped through the cracks”

    • NotBenDuPont says:

I want to know the names and faces of the parents and siblings who were apparently housing this guy. If they provided him housing they should own some responsibility for his actions, since all signs point to him not having the requisite skills to take care of himself.

The right wing fully recognizes what the left continues to blow off — that intractable mental illness is pervasive in society, and that there is a whole crowd of people walking around who really need to be in secure facilities. Then Q nonsense is like crack for the “neurodivergent”. They have figured out that if they broadcast enough of this material out into society, it will eventually fall into unmedicated ears, and they will have a kamikaze that will do their dirty work.

So what to do? Make a real effort to identify deviant behavior early, and segregate the dangerously abnormal from society.

Conversely, the left can learn to play the same game. They got close with the race riots in 2020 but instead of dog whistles to inflict violence on various bad actors they offereda lot of soft messaging that foundered.

Race riots? You’re on the wrong site, pal.

      • NotBenDuPont says:

That’s how the right wing saw them, might as well use their terminology since the left has lost control of the narrative.

        • Alby says:

          Not here we don’t.

this troll is gonna burn out. They can’t keep the performance energy up for very long.

          • Alby says:

Use of “control of the narrative” tells me media over-consumption is the root of his problem.

The “narrative,” or as it would more accurately be called “the dominant media version of events,” is something that’s of interest mainly to people who play the politics-is-a-horse-race game.

We have millions of them in this country, but far from a majority. They consist mostly of the kinds of people, from across the political spectrum, who vote in primary elections — about 25% of registered voters when things get hot.

Tucker Carlson doubles down on white Supremacy again last night:
    https://www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/tucker-carlson-promotes-white-supremacist-replacement-theory

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): You’ve heard a lot about the “great replacement” theory recently. It’s everywhere in the last two days and we’re still not sure exactly what it is.

Here’s what we do know for a fact. There is a strong political component to the Democratic Party’s immigration policy. We’re not guessing this, we know this. And we know it because they have said so. They’ve said it again and again and again. They’ve written books on it and monographs and magazine articles, they have bragged about it endlessly, they talk about it on cable news constantly. And they say, out loud, we are doing this because it helps us to win elections. That’s not something that’s said once, it’s something they’ve gloated about again and again and again. And we think that’s wrong. And in case you doubt us, here they are.

    […]

So you play clips of them saying it and you’re the deranged conspiracy nut. Maybe the funniest part is they may not be right. The Democratic Party has decided that rather than convince you, people who are born here, that their policies are helping you in making the country better and stronger, they will change the electorate. Again, they say that. We are not guessing.

No Tucker you are not “guessing” you are just “lying” like to ball-sack of shit that you are. A racist hate-fostering piece of human excrement who comfortably exists in that cocoon of evil provided by Fox and supported by the low-IQ minority of loonies and cultists. Rep. Kowalko
