I’m moving this from the open thread:
I watched a little bit of Fox News last night to get a flavor for what kind of nonsense they were spoon feeding the moronic dipshits known as Fox News viewers. The major themes seemed to be:
- But, but , but Hilary Clinton’s email server.
- But, but, but Hunter Biden is crimes and gangstering.
- Banana Republic!
- We can’t enforce laws because fascist might get mad.
Be prepared to hear “Banana Republic” a lot. Alan Dershowitz, who Fox News considers to be smart, was exclaiming “Banana Republic!” last night, and that seemed to be picked up pretty quickly by the braying Fox News mutton heads.
There might be more, but I couldn’t stomach watching more than about 10 minutes.
If it were a banana republic the motherfucker would already have been assassinated, and so would the rest of these mewling pukes. Don’t know about you but I’ve upped my banana intake with high hopes.
I really hope they found something because if they didn’t it’s not going to look good. If they did find anything it would show how stupid he is if he kept anything in a private residence
So let me get this straight — we know he took many boxes of documents illegally. So if they didn’t find anything, he must have destroyed them. This looks bad — how exactly? And to whom?

What i mean is if they dont find anything that is prosecutable (evidence) it will be hard to convict him. If they cant get a conviction its all theatre.

The House Committee has already uncovered a bleepload of prosecutable evidence.
Not to mention, the very fact that he illegally removed documents from the White House is likely a prosecutable offense as well.
I’m actually enjoying Toiletgate and find Banana Republic to be appropriate. As noted by Alby in the third world would have been assassinated by now.

Didn’t Dershowitz and Turley used to be liberals? I guess they went for more money ?
Dershowitz is an out of touch sociopath who longs for the “old days” when he defended against the establishment. His chooses to join the radical crazies believing that it will solidify his former credentials as a defender of radicals. Bad choice a**hole.
Turley is more interested in creating/establishing himself as a legal intellectual. He’s a narcissistic, ego-driven self-aggrandizer who imagines that reflection in his mirror as a future Supreme Court justice.
Neither of these two ever established themselves as “liberals” in the true sense of the word.
