Beau off to Iraq

Filed in Delaware by on November 13, 2008

He is leaving before Thanksgiving, according to a report in Politico.   I know that there were some among us that always expected Beau to be kept home once Joe Biden was elected Vice President, for Beau would then be a high value target in Iraq.   You pointed to the examples of Prince William and Prince Harry in Iraq and Afghanistan.   To which I say, Beau ain’t royalty or British.    Hell, if McCain’s son and Trig Palin were going, why did you think Beau wouldn’t?

I don’t think Trig Palin will be going to Iraq. However, Track Palin should already be there.

    You are half right.

Sorry Miscreant. I get confused with the strange Redneck/Hobbit names for the Palin family.

Track is the 18 year old son beind deployed.
    Trig is Sarah’s grandson.

    Gotcha.

Sorta like Beau and Hunter are elitist Main-Line names…

Because VP son trumps Senator or Governor’s son.

Difference being that William (AKA Leftenant Wales) was leading infantrymen in combat, and Beau is a JAG lawyer, attached to a commo unit. Even if he doesn’t get an early recall to take his daddy’s Senate seat, he’ll probably never set foot outside the Green Zone.

Shyte! All this time I thought Trig was the illegitimate son of Joe the Plumber. Thanks for clarifying.
