I was struck by the juxtaposition of two items on Daily Kos open thread today.
The first is this:

If anything violent happens to President Obama during his term or terms in office, it is on Beck’s (and those like him) head, given his calls to a revolution and his talk of tyranny. And maybe Beck is beginning to realize just what he has unleashed.
I see that more as implying a coup. Of course, I am translating “SF” as Special Forces, and then I see the “…as are all of Congress…” line, so I take that to be talk of a coup. Now, I also think this is total wingnut moonbattery, BUT…BUT…should not be dismissed, either. Hopefully, it gets serious investigation.

DD, it was the way it was stated. I thought San Fran first, too, in terms of a tea party. At second read, I saw that it said:

“AN” instead of “THE.” That is what made me think it was in reference to Special Forces

Susan, you wanted someone to correct some grammar? I’ll be correcting your punctuation for improper apostrophe usage. “Nazi’s” implies posession. Correct: “Nazis”. An apostrophe is not a symbol that meaning to beware of oncoming “S”.
Miscreant is very dishonest. He might have a point if DD had posted something inflammatory (without apologizing) and a bunch of commenters agreed and cheered him on. IIRC remember DD got criticized by all the commenters and I’m sure he was already regretting his use of hyperbole as soon as he posted it.
I think we need a new rule for the Delaware blogosphere. We’ve all heard of Godwin’s Law about internet flame wars and Nazis. I think we need a “Delaware Dem Rule.” If one invokes DD in their argument, it means they have already lost the argument.

Conservatism is an intellectual philosophy based on the a belief in individual liberty and personal responsibility. It was developed by Jefferson, Madison, and their peers. It is a philosophy at odds with the narcissistic, intellectual shallowness that seems to pervade the left.
Jefferson, Madison, and their peers wouldn’t find anything honorable in what you people are doing. You are out and about airing your grievances for having lost an election.
