Senator Adams Hospitalized
We’re getting word that Sen. Thurman Adams has been hospitalized. I have no further information at this time.
Although, we at this blog have had disagreements with Senator Adams, we wish him a quick and complete recovery.

Yeah, arthur. Now is not the time to tell jokes. We here at Delaware Liberal criticize Adams constantly for his opinions and positions, and we all want him gone from the Senate, but not this way.
I wish Senator Adams a speedy recovery and hope his illness is nothing at all serious.
The report I heard this evening that he is fine (stable) and remains in the hospital (at the time of the report) for tests. The report said he had felt ill, but I am not sure if he was taken in or checked himself in.
I’ll wait a few weeks ahhhhh, maybe days before I say my peace about this awesome “family man” that impacted hundreds of thousands of his extended family in Delaware through his bigoted ways..

Arthur: I liked it almost as much as David Letterman’s joke.
Word is he may be released Friday. It seems he went to the doctor and was dispatched to the hospital from there with dehydration which knocked blood levels out of whack.
I disagree with his politics completely but would never wish him ill. Any tasteless humor with regard to his health reflects more on the person writing it than on Thurman.
Now that he is better I will say that when he was rolled into the ER the doctor took one look at him and said, “Nurse, 30 cc’s of Johnnie Walker Black STAT!”
I’m glad he is better.
While I understand that many of you disagree with Senator Adams politics, please keep in mind the openness of the internet, this was the first thing that popped up on my google search, I expected a news article. Outside of his career he has a family and friends who do not need to read such ill humor at this time. That being said he was a close family friend and at one time employed me as a page, I have never held anything but upmost respect. Thank you.

Heidi raises a good point, and one that I have struggled since Vaughn’s death, when a NJ respondent criticized my criticism of Vaughn’s actions in Dover.
Public servants are just that, people who live in the public arena. That comes with scrutiny, and not only by supporters.
If the family wishes to hear only praise, they should speak to family and friends, go to memorial services, and read the NJ. Googling, and going to DL will yield the entire spectrum of views about Senator Adams’ accomplishments.

Such is also the price of strong-arming senate rules for years that perpetuated the desk-drawer veto, the price of power.
If they don’t like it, be like Iran and ban use of the internet, or ban access to such sites as DL.
I never claimed to be forced to read anything, and I thank those that have been respectful. I googled and stumbled across this website, I actually am very impressed with the insite, found a few old comments that pissed me off, because they are hurtful and pertain to individuals I have ties with. It seems this website would be much more benificial to your causes if you faught the politics not the people, i.e. “Johnnie Walker stat” and “this so called family man”. Thanks DL, for providing a place to connect, I will definatly come back to the site.
