  1. This is the first in what I hope will be a whole bunch of embarrassing pictures of Sir. Charles Von Copeland.

  2. anon says:

Tout de chapeau, pas de cheval.

  3. Chateau Joe says:

Is that Charles Lamont Sanford Dupont Copeland?

    Ya hear that Elizabeth?!?! (Wenky)

I’m comin’ to join ya honey!

With a big dummy for Governor!

  4. happycon says:

what is supposed to be embarassing about that picture?

  5. jason says:

Nothing I suppose, if you like politicans who dress up like foppish, roquefort cheese eating, gentleman farmers.

  6. anon says:

When I first saw that photo I thought you were doing another post about some dopey country singer who said something stupid again.

    Copeland doesn’t sing, does he?

  7. anon says:

Copeland’s casual appearances in Sussex seem to be driving the libs nuts.

  8. AnotherAnon says:

Heh. Now it’s your turn in the barrel, Republicans.

  9. ‘what is supposed to be embarassing about that picture?’

    The subject of it. Duh.

  10. jason says:

Copeland’s casual appearances in Sussex seem to be driving the libs nuts.

This is funny on so many levels.

  11. Copeland’s casual appearances in Sussex seem to be driving the libs nuts.

Much like his civil rights marches on the sidewalk of Leg Hall.

  12. Al Mascitti says:

What exactly do you have against Roquefort?

  13. MOT Newbie says:

This is some deep stuff, Jason. So, the compelling message is the Dem choice will be better because Copeland looks a bit dorky in this picture. Got it.

  14. Kilroy Was Here says:

“What exactly do you have against Roquefort?”

Al, it’s blue and smells like you !

  15. jason says:

    Newbie,

If I ever pass up the chance to put up a dorky picture of a Delaware Republican I should have my blogging license revoked.

  16. MOT Newbie says:

As should I if I ever passed up an opportunity to be a snarky pain in your ass.

  17. Al Mascitti says:

So John, do you intend to demonstrate your classlessness at every opportunity now? Would you like me to start copy editing your copy to highlight the lack of education you’re so proud of?

  18. Kilory Was Here says:

“So John, do you intend to demonstrate your classlessness at every opportunity now? Would you like me to start copy editing your copy to highlight the lack of education you’re so proud of?”

Al, I have no problem being who I am and why would I want you to edit anything I write?

Your grammar certainly is more proficient than mine! However, your work lacks character and is reflective of a pitiful lonely man. You feed your ego off of others weaker than you however, in our case I am the stronger of the two. Al what the hell do you have to show for you life? Not a dam thing!

  19. Al Mascitti says:

And I have no problem being who I am, Johnny boy. The difference is that when I disagree with someone, I don’t have to make it personal. “A pitiful lonely man”? Once again, you don’t know the first thing about me or how many friends I have. You could ask around, but of course that would require you to get out of your comfort zone, with seems centered around the toilet. Do you go around making moronic pronouncements like this for fun, or because you have some sort of Tourette’s-like inability to stop yourself?

I feed my ego off others weaker than me? No, John, I just get annoyed with uneducated, unintelligent people who think that because they’ve learned to type they must have something worth saying. You’re a dumb shit, and you prove it with virtually everything you write. I’ll stop pointing that out in public as soon as you stop attacking me personally every time you disagree with me.

  20. Kilory Was Here says:

“I’ll stop pointing that out in public as soon as you stop attacking me personally every time you disagree with me.”

Dam Al, your the one that takes the first swipe!

Everybody has a voice and certainly it won’t always be your way. I was being sincere about my “opinion” about Markell’s campaign treasure chest and concerns that he is buying his way in. You’ll have to admit (I hope) 1.3 million dollars is quite powerful in a small state election such as Delaware. I do believe the registered D’s out number the R’s therefore, with Markell’s popularity, money and being a democrat gives him the edge. Being the state treasure really hasn’t proven what commitment he has for the people of Delaware. As for Carney surely he presents a problem for Markell as he would look like a democrat team player if he squashes Carney. When the last time was the Lt.Governor of didn’t advance to governor, I believe S.B Woo!

“You’re a dumb shit, and you prove it with virtually everything you write. I’ll stop pointing that out in public as soon as you stop attacking me personally every time you disagree with me.”

No does that really make sense? It doesn’t sound very inviting just to move on !
I don’t want to flatter you however, your editorials and Norm Lockman’s in the News Journal is part of the reason I have the balls to say what I need to. Does the world really belong to the intellects and the ignorant working class people don’t have a say? You shouldn’t be annoyed with people less fortunate then you! I’ve encouraged many less fortunate parents to go to school board meetings and speak out and not let their personal ignorance be a barrier in standing up for their children’s rights to a quality education.

  21. Al Mascitti says:

“Being the state treasure really hasn’t proven what commitment he has for the people of Delaware.”

See, John, this is the problem I have with you. Have you researched anything Markell has done? Do you really think his efforts to make low-income people aware of the Earned Income Tax Credit isn’t evidence of a commitment to the working poor? He has helped hundreds of families find thousands of dollars in tax breaks. This is not part of the job description of state treasurer — actually, since the General Assembly gutted the job to keep Janet Rzenicki from making a public ass of herself, there isn’t much to the position at all — so you can look at it one of two ways: it’s either political grandstanding or an effort to help people who need it. I would submit to you that there are much more effective ways to grandstand, so I conclude it’s a genuine effort to help.

As for the money he lent himself, he’s going to need it. As you rightly point out, Carney is the party’s candidate, and he raised more money from outside sources; Markell is the outsider and has deep enough pockets to match Carney’s advantage in special-interest money. Which candidate do you think is more likely to continue business-as-usual in Dover — the guy the ruling Democrats want (Carney), or the guy they don’t?

As for the personal attacks, I’ll stop as soon as you do. I’m sorry that you take my every disagreement with you personally; like you, I’m just stating my opinion, and if you see it as a personal attack I would humbly submit that it’s your inferiority complex at work, not my adopting a superior attitude. Yes, I tend to make my points forcefully, perhaps too much so at times. It’s a habit borne of long years going up against entrenched powers — mostly inside the News Journal — who want to disenfranchise anyone who disagrees with them.

“See, John, this is the problem I have with you. Have you researched anything Markell has done? Do you really think his efforts to make low-income people aware of the Earned Income Tax Credit isn’t evidence of a commitment to the working poor?”

Didn’t know he could do that without legislation! Do you think he can do something for the middle-class who carries the burden!

“I would submit to you that there are much more effective ways to grandstand, so I conclude it’s a genuine effort to help.”

    Sounds fair.

“As you rightly point out, Carney is the party’s candidate,”

But I really think that is a political illusion and the only safety net Carney would have is if Minner were to step down making Carney the incumbent. Markell would look bad trying to knock off the democratic incumbent, but I do think Markell has better business smarts then Carney. Delaware does need a CEO not a Governor. I think Minner delegates with out any real oversight whereas Markell can tactfully micro-manage to cover his political ass. As far as Copeland or as the GOP choice sure I want them to win. However, with Bush’s bullshit the democratic are capitalizing.

I would humbly submit that it’s your inferiority complex at work,”

Dam Al, I thought you were on to me and you knew I played the victim card. Dana caught on to me and doesn’t buy it! I’ll adimt I am just pushing you bottons because you pissed me off.
Your a great guy and sometimes we just have to remind you, your not GOD?

“I’m sorry that you take my every disagreement with you personally; like you, I’m just stating my opinion, and if you see it as a personal attack I would humbly submit that it’s your inferiority complex at work, not my adopting a superior attitude.”

I can accept this but the cheap little personal swipes you add puts me on the offensive. Of course tell me I am wrong or I don’t know what I am taking about. When you call someone stupid ,pretty much you telling them Fuck You!

“I tend to make my points forcefully, perhaps too much so at times”

That’s your style and purely driven by your emotions. You wouldn’t have any fans if you changes. Putting an arrogant man and a ignorant man in the same room always spells trouble. At least I have enough respect for you by not coming at you anonymous.

“mostly inside the News Journal — who want to disenfranchise anyone who disagrees with them.”

Is that what you do to me, LOL !!

Bed Time , need my 5 hours of sleep!
