Castle on Iraq….(The sound of one hand clapping)

A commenter followed up on a point that I’ve been making for a while – Mike Castle wants to avoid being evaluated on Iraq AGAIN.

Mike Castle is our lone rep in the US House and Iraq is the issue dominating all of our current public policy debates, from secrurity and energy independence to our exploding debt and it’s impact on the social saftey net – and yet Castle has issued exactly one statement on Iraq this year.

To put that number into context – he has issued 36 public statements in that time period – mostly having to do with how adept he is as at channeling pork to upstate volunteer fire departments.
