I almost feel sorry for Gonzales. Not only did the NYT call for his resignation, but now even his own party is calling for his head (almost literally).
John Cornyn (R-TX) : “In Texas, we believe in having a fair trial and then we have the hanging.”
Ouch. John Sununu is also calling for his ouster. I’m betting on a Friday resignation with a full weekend to let the new candidate be talked up on the overwhelmingly conservative Sunday talk shows. Isn’t the rule inDC that it’s not the act, it’s the cover-up?
