Atkins threatens to drag out Republican dirty laundry
In a last ditch effort to not get kicked out of the General Assembly for being a drunken, spouse abuser.
Legislative Hall was buzzing with speculation that Atkins was going to appear on WGMD radio, a downstate station that was broadcasting from the building, with some sort of expose.
“It would make me look like an angel,” Atkins said. He hung around the broadcast table, but he never did go on. Maybe another day, he said. (Link)
Whatever you have to say about Atkins, you have to admit that the guy has some balls.

What a creepy prick.
He really is. Hopefully this will expedite his removal. We can have 2 special elections…
how pathetic. can the man (and I use the term loosely) get any lower?
What does he know about Dick Cathcart that would make him look like an angel? That’s what I want to know.
Ha! That comment made my day.
Atkins has pictures of Liane Sorenson competing in last year’s swimsuit competition at Seacrets.
i think john better back off people considering the amount of his skeletons that still remain in the closet … what a sad, sad human
why assume Atkin’s comment was exclusively about Republicans? (other than wishful thinking)
Personally, I suspect that there is enough dirt to go around. Of course, there are certainly things that he could hold up as moral equivalents that aren’t legal equivalents. So for example, he could say that someone else was/is a drunk, or had a disease and this could cause them pain and embarassment, but it certainly is not the same thing as what JA did.
I think that the horse-trading that admittedly goes on by both parties in both houses would be enough in and of itself.
The book of “The Delaware Way Gone Wild”, or Little Johnny Upsets the Flower Cart.
He has sold off his business so he has nothing much to lose by cutting loose on the people who are refusing to help him out of this jam.
I say he takes his knocks and then takes his family to another state to start over.
