Delawareliberal to advertise on WDEL: Fundraising Update

Filed in National by on April 24, 2007

I have $550 in hand and another $100 to $200 pledged. We can get a decent number of spots for $700 (radio advertising is a bargain!) – but more is better so let me know if you want to help out.

With that bit of business taken care of we’ll soon need to our attention to the content of the ads. Remember, we want to let casual consumers of political news know that blog water is great and it is time for them to dive into the political process.

I’m favoring an ad that calls out Michael Castle for being a Bush loving fraud. (Go figure.)

Liberalgeek is looking for a little more nuance and wit.

I think Donviti wants an ad that extols his BBQ-ing prowess (I kid), and you might know it from his unassuming exterior but Tommywonk can write a hell of a attack ad that will excoriate a mutha. (I mean it.)

What do you guys think?

Dude, have you figured out a way to accept money from those of us who only have blog handles (we were born without real names, and have suffered in silence until the advent of internet blogging)?

There is a mailbox on the corner of E. 7th and North Lombard. Put your left hand on it and hold a hat box under your right arm.

    Wait there for further instructions.

count me in for $50. get with work email and we can figure something out.

My guess would be that we need to target a commercial that meets the audiance. Do we have any info on the demographics that listen to AM?

I guess the route I would take is to ask people if they really feel they are getting all the news from “traditional media”, tell them that we BET they aren’t…they don’t have to throw away the Newspaper, they can use it to train their dogs, step up and into the net where traditional media is blown away, news is real time and doesn’t wait till tomorrow..

maybe put a disclaimer at the end like car places do?

we do not gaurantee that your point of view will be changed, we do not gaurantee that you will become a much more informed reader and voter we cannot assume any responsibitly for changes in points of view you may have politically

Sorry this is late, I’ve been traveling.

But count me in for $50.00.

And I think you should guarantee that blog participants will get an excellent venue for wasting time at work.

Did I miss how to get you this money?
