Don’t listen to Mike Castle – look at where he spends his money

In addition to his ongoing obfuscations, I’ve caught Michael Castle in a few outright lies over the past two years. Most of the flat out lies deal with is alleged “opposition” to George Bush and his debacle of a war in Iraq.

This has happened frequently enough that I’ve learned to ignore Castle’s murky and careless quotes like “I’ve had differences with the President.”

So, if his words are untrustworthy, where can one look to get a sense of Castle’s affection or dissatisfaction for Bush’s war? How about his checkbook?

Let’s see…? What does $25,000.00 to the NRCC tell you about where Castle is on the issue of Iraq? It tells you he gives considerable support to an organization that is 100% behind Bush’s continuing mismanagement of the war and expresses that support in ever more creative (e.g. sophomoric) ways. For instance check out this fake “Craig’s List” Ad the NRCC put up:

Democrat Leadership Seeking National Security Policy:

What? A plan (ANY plan) that would appease the Hollywood Wing of our Caucus while allowing Blue Dog Democrats to posture themselves politically for the “general election setting.”

We’ve proposed a myriad of options, but all expose our out-of-the-mainstream views and make us generally unpalatable to the American people. Darn!

Hardy-har-har. That is a real knee slapper Congressman. It must be nice to be so callous that you can support this kind of crap to the tune of 25 grand.
