Kavips is right. Our guy Lynn Bullock supports the NRG proposal. I don’t know the guy – but that is a bad sign. Other bad signs include the Sussex County Democratic Party in general being (for the most part) less progressive than the Republicans on land use and development. The root of the matter is an old boy network that mocks traditional Democratic values. Like Jim Vaughn , they have “D’s” next to their names – but have very little in common with the party of Bobby Kennedy and Barack Obama.
Greg Hastings supports Bluewater Wind, and has expressed interested in solar energy. If hastings wins we have one less “D” but one more vote for a sane energy policy.
On a personal note, I think it would be a damn shame if Atkins swings this to Bullock. The Republicans did everything right.
