More Iraq Insanity
Bush now admits that he wants to keep troops in Iraq for 50 years. All those permanent bases we said were were not building. Yep. We’re building them.
He compares the situation to Korea (in spite of the fact that Iraq is nothing like Korea).
For the Record: Mike Castle supports George Bush’s open ended 50 year war in Iraq.

My 8 year old will not be taking part in Mr. Bush’s war. I can tell you that right now.
Can US Representatives be legally recalled from by the people they represent? In Mr. Castle’s case that would be our entire state. If so, we need to begin recall proceedings. Or perhaps a vote of no confidence would fly. There must be some dramatic way that the citizens of Delaware can shock him into seeing that we won’t tolerate a 50 year presence in Iraq!!
Such statements are not true and are inflammatory. They serve but one purpose, and that is to drive even more people away from the Republican party. Such statements must cease, if there is to be a Republican party 4 years from now.
But, if they don’t, and more Americans realize just how basic Republican philosophy, and not necessarily the men who implemented it, has eroded our budget surplus, has mired us in an non winnable war, has krupt our educational system,has poisoned our bodies with carcinogens, and has sucked more money out of the middle class’s pockets, to give it to the wealthiest 1 %, then ………….perhaps a new party will form from the ashes to counter the Democrats and the world will once again become a better and safer place.
It is worth hoping for……….and as Bush continues to leave mainstream America, and Castle and others ride over the cliff on his coattails, the rest us need to roll up our sleeves and begin rebuilding…………….
