Kevorkian Free at Last

Filed in Uncategorized by on June 1, 2007

Dr. Jack Kevorkian was released from prison today after serving an 8 year sentence.  While I have never taken him up on any of his services (although I have a gift certificate around here somewhere…)  I think that he made us look at ourselves in a new way that colors our end of life rights debates today.  I think someday people will look at him like a jailed abolitionist or a civil rights martyr.  Welcome back, Jack.

I think his whole problem is he looks like a cadaverous freak show. If he looked like, say Mitt Romney, with a lab coat and a stethoscope around his neck, the insurance companies would hire him to lobby for euthanasia.

At least they should make his services available to GOP RightWingNuts. Talk about a valuable public service….

WASHINGTON _ Florida evangelist Bill Keller says he was making a spiritual — not political — statement when he warned the 2.4 million subscribers to his Internet prayer ministry that “if you vote for Mitt Romney, you are voting for Satan!”

The liberal compassion is so overwhelming. But us “wingnuts” have no use for such services. But feel free..
