There has been hundreds of million of government dollars spent on cancer research and AIDS research yet we have no cure for wither illness.
I don’t think the opening up the Treasury will indeed make this science that much more profound. If there was a big “payoff” on the horizon many more private companies would jump on this ride.
I do share your sympathy for the flag draped coffins.
