God told Bush to attack Iraq

Imagine our surprise Wednesday to read in the Israeli paper Haaretz (online), that Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Mazen, meeting recently with militants to enlist their support for a truce with Israel, said that, when they met in Aqaba, President Bush had told him this: ” God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [ Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them.”

So who needs to find WMD or a link with al Qaeda when the orders come from The Highest Authority?

Now hold onto your hat when the crackpots at the once good and now shitty blog FSP defend Bush for claiming to have divine authority to attack Iraq.

Abu Mazen? For real? That’s who you’re reduced to quoting now? Mahmoud Abbas? Fatah?

Your anger is getting the best of you.

    See what I mean?

  3. anon says:

Yeah Jason. Don’t you know not to trust the liberal BBC.

  4. Hube says:

Precisely, anon, as it also quotes Palestinian sources.

Who’s next, Jase? Kim Jong Il? Qaddafi? bin Laden himself?

“Who’s next, Jase? Kim Jong Il? Qaddafi? bin Laden himself?”

NO. NO. Remember they WON’T quote bin Laden, because that crack pot says that it was Clinton pulling the troops out of Somalia at the first sign of trouble that gave him the resolve for 9/11. So that got OBL put on their black list. Might lead to people to believe that an immediate withdrawl might NOT be a good idea. Can’t have that.

    Hube,

You have to admit – knowing what we know about Bush it sounds plausible.

Honestly, this is old news, despite Haaretz’ reporting it anew. It was reported a year or so ago.

  8. This is relatively old news. King George was asked during a TV interview back around 2004 if he had consulted with his father (Bush Sr.) before deciding to pre-emptively invade Iraq. His answer was, “I didn’t consult my father, I consulted a Higher Father.”
Unfortunately recent history has proven that he asked the wrong father. At the conclusion of the 1993 Iraq War, President Bush #41 was encouraged by generals such as, “Storm’in Norman” to continue on into Iraq once we had achieved the stated mission of liberating Kuwait. They wanted to march on to Bagdad and topple Sadamm. However, the wiser Bush the elder stated that this would be a big mistake. He correctly predicted that the collapse of the Sadamm regime would create a giant power vaccum. He further stated that warring factions would plunder the country and the US would likely be trapped in an endless quagmire.
In this case, Baby Bush should have disconnected his God hotline and listened to Daddy Bush. On the ill-conceived and conducted Iraq nightmare, father obviously knew best!!

His dad appears to have gotten good advice from this person.. Perhaps “W” should do the same?
