It isn’t the Republicans who are f’ing everything up…

it is the “partisans”.

That’s what DC elites want you to think anyway.

(I heard Al Mascitti pushing this BS this morning.  I’ll have to call tomnorrow and show him the light.)

I read the Atlantic Monthly – Yglesias is kind of a clown, in my opinion. He is still hammering home the Bush admin blame bouncer. Yeah we know you and Dick, and Karl, and Rummy, and Wolfie, tricked everyone. But was the decision real a bipartisan affair as Yglesias suggests?

If your friends tell you the Joe is going to detonate a bomb in your house in the next 10 minutes (and show you “evidence” to that effect), then you shoot Joe in the face as he knocks on your door. Then it turns out Joe was just an annoying Jehovah’s Witness with some “literature” and the evidence was bogus. Really your friends just held a grudge against Joe because he ate the last slice of pizza in 1991.

    Are all parties equally culpable?

That’s the problem with metaphors. They usually are a stretch and rarely reflect logic. Ya just can’t oversimplify this stuff. It’s complex and deeply evil.
