The very sober and sensible “centerists” Mike Castle awaits the Petraeus Report

Filed in National by on August 15, 2007

Mike Castle is a very serious guy – so when the report arrives I’m sure he will remember that the report he treats like holy scripture, was written by the White House.

Despite Bush’s repeated statements that the report will reflect evaluations by Petraeus and Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, administration officials said it would actually be written by the White House, with inputs from officials throughout the government.

Mission Accomplished, and Stay the Course everybody!!! As long as we stay in Iraq – we are WINNING!!!!!

Glad you have finally come to your senses!

  2. Disbelief says:

If staying in Iraq is the winner’s choice, when do you buy your plane ticket, Chris?

  3. oedipa maas says:

If he’s smart about going to Iraq, he’ll let the government buy his plane ticket.

    Be all you can be.

Here is what will happen when the Petraeus report comes out.

He will say that there is some improvement in the Saudi sector.

He will be asked about the other sectors, the South, the North.

He will dance and use the positive paint brush as much as possible, but will acquiesced that further improvement could occur in those areas.

He will praise the military as achieving all the goals that were set before him.

He will be asked if any of the accompanying policical goals were achieved.

He will say he was not directly responsible for the political side of the equation, but in his truthful opinion, they were not.

The blackballed mainstream media will focus on “the improvement of the Anwar province.”

The others will decry the failure of the total policy.

Mike Castle who if he wishes to truly run in 08, should switch his affiliation over to the majority party, thereby freeing him to vote his conscience and that of those of his constituents………

    What’s a “centerist”?

  6. jason330 says:

jeez. My misspellings are bad enough, but when I enclose them in quotes – it is like I’m finding whole new levels of illiteracy.

  7. Chris says:

Too bad for your little fantasy that initial reports are that Petraeus is indicating reductions in troop levels.

  8. jason330 says:

We’ll see. The “smaller footprint” still has to make it through the White House PR office. Petraeus will not be testifying in front of Congress as required by law.

Bush Co. has no use for puny laws.
