Breaking: O’Donnell will not primary Mike Castle

Filed in National by on August 19, 2007

Sources say that, contrary to my previous reports, O’Donnell will not be using a primary against Castle to maintain her leadership position in Delaware’s “pro-life” movement. I’m working on a longer post that deals with the downstream impact of O’Donnell’s decsion to sit this one out.

In the meantime here is some more O’Donnell news for you Christone O’Donnell-philes.

Breaking: Jason will not jump off the Empire State Building today.

    Breaking: Pope is Catholic.
    Breaking: Water is wet.
    Breaking: Earth is round.

Breaking: Something not happening that never was actually going to happen (nor was it ever considered) isn’t news.

  2. I wonder who they’re talking about when they refer to O’Donnell as being the focus of one Delaware political blogger? Hmmm…

Protest much Dave? You are just sore that you did not break this story.

Stop playing Ron Williams to my Celia Cohen.

    Mike,

At least the News Journal admits that you exsist from time to time.

No primary? But surely she will blast Castle in press releases and interviews, and hold prayer vigils in front of his office, right?

I mean, Castle is still digging out from the blizzard of those symbolic roses delivered by Delaware pro-life Republicans… isn’t he?

Ok we’ll just throw him off ! LOL

Break what? There never was a story to break. I told you over a month ago that Christine O’Donnell wasn’t even considering a primary with Castle.

I can’t wait to see what the downstream impact is, though, so I can plan for the opposite.

  7. Dana Garrett says:

I think she should enter the primary for Gov. Now that would be interesting.

  8. jason330 says:

She could win it. Levin’s “base” seems to be about a hundred people who all work in some way for the DEGOP.

    Dave –

You will have to wait for the donwstream impact story – but you can prep for it. Please assemble the following materials:

    – 5 gallons of white vinegar
    – 1 5×10 plastic tarp
    – a bearded man
    – 1 August 1964 Playboy magazine

    …and await furher instructions.

  9. Dana Garrett says:

Perhaps we should start a Draft O’Donnell movement. Set up an anonymous website, say. Send out a bunch of pink post cards (OK yellow postcards since pink’s been done) calling on her to run and getting people to call & urge her to run. Maybe we can even sneak a speaker into into the ceiling of her home and someone can be the voice of the Almighty (Matthews, I suggest) commanding her to run.

    That might do the trick.

I think Dana’s getting the hang of this Democrat thing.
