I’ve been giving Mike Castle hell because he is such a big rubber stamp for Bush, and even now Mike Castle is getting ready to vote for another big blank check for Bush despite the fact that Bush has never had a real plan for Iraq.
All the while I’ve never said what I think should happen. Until now…
1) We apologize to the world for attacking Iraq based on a tissue of lies.
I now it sounds like a small thing, but we need to get the world back on our side.
2) We sign a treaty in the UN that says: “We have no long term interest in controlling Iraq or it’s mineral wealth.”
Everyone knows it is all about the oil. We let everyone know that we know it is their oil. We’ll need a lot of good will to go onto number 3.
3) We enter into regional security agreements with Turkey, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia that stipulate that Iraq is one country with three security zones.
Similar to the security zones that Germany was divided into after the war.
4) We launch the “marshall plan” type the economic aid program that should have been part of the occupation plan from the beginning.
This plan sucks. Tear it apart. Shoot it down, but admit that it is better than anything Bush has come up with.
Admit that Mike Castle has been voting for nothing but chaos and mayhem all these years.
