Did they threaten him with Constitutional torture? And I’m not talking about sitting across from Ted Kennedy thinking, “This guy actually got away with killing someone.” I’m talking about good, ol’ waterboarding.
Good riddance. With Bush’s track record they should just as soon leave the office vacant and the department in the hands of career attorneys who take the law seriously (if any are left…).
According to CBS the replacement will be Michael Chertoff. Heard it on the radio as I was driving back from today’s peace demonstration outside Castle’s office.
If you have some spare time, go downtown to the corner of 2nd and Walnut and lend a hand. There are a bunch of good people out there and they will be there until 8:00 tonight. Thirteen hours for the thirteen Delawareans who have died fighting Bush’s War in Iraq.
Chertoff? Isn’t he the same guy who is worried about Delmarva chickens being subject to terrorist insurgency? Gotta’ admit, if our chickens turned radical Muslim, that would be the end of our schmaltz supply as we know it.
Oh. For those of you goyem out there, ‘schmaltz’ is rendered chicken fat, like the stuff that solidifies on top of homemade chicken soup. Its used as a ‘poor man’s mayonaisse’, tastes great on toasted bread, and will raise your cholesteral above 400.
Now, will Bush do a recess appointment? And will the new AG pursue some of the credible criminal complaints made against this administration? (you know, do his/her job)
Either way, Fredo is the best LIAR the DoJ’s ever seen….he won’t be missed…
I’m not very trusting of the situation either, but that’s all I know about it….
If they did work out some sort of quid pro quo, Reid should just forget it happened – “I cannot recall such conversation”, “I remember talking to Bush, but I’m not sure of the specifics” – Poetic Justice.
…but still a closted gay.
no doubt Mike Castle had something to do with this. I’m so glad he does the will of the people
… and a liar. Not little white lies either – big whoppers.

Is there a link?
And let me be the first to suggest Sen. Orrin Hatch be nominated the next AG.

I thought mayonaisse was the poor man’s mayonaisse.
Good news – no recess appt, since Gonzo’s last day is 9/17. Congress will be back in session by then.
I wanna know – What did Harry Reid promise in exchange for no recess appointment?
A good explanation can be found HERE

I read it but it doesn’t seem like enough. There’s no way Bush would subject himself to a no-holds-barred confirmation hearing for AG.
There has to be a deal regarding the AG replacement.

Sen. Larry Craig is out.
No, not resigned – gay.
“And let me be the first to suggest Sen. Orrin Hatch be nominated the next AG.”
This kind of suggestion should not be allowed on a blog because some people (like me) might read it just after they’ve eaten dinner.

Perhaps Bush will float Harriet Meyers again. I hope so. I’d love the laughs.

lol….I’m telling ya, the ones who protest the most tend to be the perps.
FSP has a story on Craig. I’d put in the link, but I don’t know how, and really don’t care.

Anyone short of Micahel Moore for AG will make you suspicious.
Micheal Moore’s not a lawyer. So, as always, you’re just being silly, Chrissy.
