Mike “I’m so above the fray” Castle’s Plan (sic)

Filed in National by on September 6, 2007

So it is THE September that Mike Castle has said will be very very very important.

Castle really wants the ISG recommendations implemented, but not really. I mean he is not a stickler on it or anything. He also thinks that we need to bring the troops home “soon” but that this war is “just going to grind to an end.” In the meantime he wonders why we can’t all just get along.

The net/net is that in the utter wasteland that is our mainstream media, Castle’s plea for everyone to join him in his dreamland in which everyone “hopes real hard” for the Bill Clinton years to return is getting coverage.

But it is all good, because we are in magical September.

Out of all Castle’s plans for Iraq, I’ll put money ont he “Grind on and on” version:

Iraq’s army, despite measurable progress, will be unable to take over internal security from U.S. forces in the next 12 to 18 months and “cannot yet meaningfully contribute to denying terrorists safe haven,” according to a report on the Iraqi security forces published today.
