Comment Rescue: How smart is this?
First the comment from an old sushi thread at DWA:
Potstickers says:
We appreciate all your comments on the restaurant and are glad that you enjoy the food. I hope you guys come to the luau which is on September 20th. More details are at www.PotstickersAsianGrill.com
– Potstickers
Now the analysis.
Someone at Potstickers was on the ball enough to google “Potstickers” or “Sushi & Delaware” and bango – you have yourself a little micro targeted ad, and all it cost was about five minutes of someone’s time.
I wonder if they serve Spam there.
The marketer in me liked it. The blogger in me recoiled a bit.
Mmmm..dinner! Mikimotos is in walking distance of my house, but a new sushi place is awesome. (I like the sushi bar down at the Riverfront too, but they close at 6)
And I think spam is something like the official food of Hawaii…..
Potstickers actually isn’t a bad little restaurant, but I don’t think the sushi is the thing to go for. It’s been almost a year since I was there, but as I recall the dumplings were actually the best part of the meal. So now you have two ads for the place, Jason — or at least one ad and one endorsement.
In my geeky handbook, it takes 2 endorsements to outweigh 1 spam.
Okura in Hockessin is really, I mean really, good for sushi. And Al is right about Potstickers. Good drinks at Potstickers though.
Cheers!
