Biden is Going off on Bush on MSNBC right now
Bush mentioned 36 countries helping us, Biden said he has no idea what the President is talking about.
Matthews asked Huckabee what he thought of the speech: I think he gave a pretty honest assesment, the surge is working…the troops tell me it’s working. Wow.

Matthews went off as well. I think he said Bush was living in a fantasy or something very close.
What a President eh? The Iraqis are our “allies” He thinks that the twenty puppets that live inside the Green zone are the “Iraqis”
At the end of the day, I see Bush sitting in the Oval Office saying to himself,
“I gave these guys a chance to embrace the true faith of Christianity and male chauvinism. I was willing to overlook the fact that their skins were browner than mine, and I was actually happy that they stoned homosexuals. I gave them all this and they walked away. I just don’t understand.”
Matthew’s strongest condemnation came with the realization that all signs point to Bush’s using this war, US life and treasure for political gain. To continue the “surge” until his term is up is rank selfishness and evil. A thousand or more US lives taken in the next 10 months because Bush wants a clean legacy?
Some of us didn’t need to wait until yesterday to know that a craven, Rovean drive was pushing the cabinet, not country but party. But I sure as fucking hell am thankful that the bloom is now faded from this rose.
Congress must demand a firm course of extraction, a timetable that takes the balance of the troops home by next spring.
