Comment Rescue: Protack Betting
What’s the O/U on Protack in a primary? I’ll go 22% – takers?
I’ll take that. For a three reasons and his push poll is not one of them.
1) For one thing I’m not sure many Republicans want to have another Jan Ting shoved down their throats. Protack is scrappy nearly knocked off the anointed Ting (if not for the Virgin) and those Protack voters are still around. They know he’ll take the fight to Markell. Levin? Not so much. Levin wants to be buddies with the Biden’s and Markell’s of the world.
2) Protack appears to be his own man. The Jihad against in certain quarters doesn’t hurt him among voters who don’t like the way the party is being run, and
3) Levin is weak. Otherwise, why are they keeping him under wraps?
The Delawareliberal O/U is 40% – takers?
I’ll put everything I own on the under. Will you do the same on the over?
Sam,
What would I want with your three wheeled ACME shopping basket full of dirty blankets?
I didn’t think so.
Is this what they mean by Internet Casino?
No doubt he will be over. The man almost won last time and has been campaigning continuously. Levin is an impressive guy in person. I wouldn’t count the governor’s race any which way at this point.
Over 40? Are you nuts?! He means 40%, not 40 votes, man!
What makes everyone think this is a two man race? This is Delaware, you don’t have to declare two years out.
Sam –
Instead of my vast real estate holdings vs. your set of collectible plates from the Frankin mint, how about a $1.00 ?
Let’s see what happens after the Levin rollout in November. That will leave 10 months before the primary.
Jan Ting is a bright man who was largely abandoned by the National GOP so they could waste money supporting Clown Chafee.
Regrettably, name recognition (as well as cash and charisma) can be more valuable assets in a campaign than thoughtful postions on issues or past performance. Baby Biden proved that. Where was he when those records were shredded?
Protack should have stayed out of the race but he probably did not doom the Ting candidacy.
Levin may be typical of businessmen who are stronger on interests than principle. However, he should be heard before any decisions are made by primary answers. Contrived forums throwing ‘softball’ questions will just not do.
One party has managed to blend venality with radical activism. Another seems to have a mission statement of supporting incumbents and avoiding controversy.
Issues are all important. It was Barry Goldwater who saved the National GOP from the irrelevance that doomed the Whigs. Who will step up to a similar role nationally and closer to home?
Why should the national GOP waste money on Ting or anybody else when they already have Carper?
You got that right.
Why should the national GOP waste money on Ting or anybody else when they already have Carper?
We send the Three Stooges to Washington. We should do better.
Biden is a great campaigner but a true back-bencher with more ambition than ability.
Gotta agree with Arthur. Biden is one hell of a campaigner. Man knows how to run a race.
PS: if he’s seen his kid, tell him he’s needed in Delaware.
Gents and Ladies,
I don’t gamble with money, flying two engine airplanes over the water at night is enough risk for me.
However, I am very comfortable and very confident about 2008. For one, I enjoy people and I think the issues I care about the most are the ones which will be the makers or breakers in 2008.
Let me plagiarize Rev. King, I am afraid of no one or anything.
This week we film some campaign ads for the internet and we are having a blast.
Ninety nine per cent of Delaware does not care about the inner workings of any party, they want values and life experiences similar to their own and also answers for the issues of the day.
Have a great day.
