Mike Castle leads the Fight to Continue to Defer to Bush on Iraq

Get a load of this BS..

WASHINGTON — Rep. John Tanner, D-Union City, is one of the authors of a bipartisan agreement announced today that sets ground rules for debating the future of the country’s role in Iraq.

Tanner and Republican Rep. Michael Castle of Delaware signed up 26 other House members, including Rep. Lincoln Davis, D-Pall Mall, to their “Bi-partisan Compact on Iraq Debate.” The group includes 14 Democrats and 14 Republicans.

The eight statements in the agreement include a call for an end to political in-fighting in Congress, continued funding for U.S. forces already in combat, clarification of the U.S. mission in Iraq, a guarantee that U.S. soldiers have adequate rest between deployments, and an increased diplomatic effort.

In other words, “Stay the course” and get the next blank check ready for Bush’s open ended war.
