Bush offers to bomb Kurds

Article from: Herald Sun

October 24, 2007 12:51pm

THE Bush Administration is considering air strikes, including cruise missiles, against the Kurdish rebel group PKK in northern Iraq.

The move would be an attempt to stave off a Turkish invasion of that country to fight the rebels.

President George Bush spoke with Turkish President Abdullah Gul by phone yesterday in an effort to ease the crisis.

——————————————————————————

F-the Kurds !  Let’s bomb the shit out of them.  That shoudl fix everything.

Oh and lest we forget:

Mike Castle voted with Bush on Iraq 9 out of 11 times.

Tom Carper voted to attack Iraq so that he did not look “weak on terror.”

Joe Biden, the man who is sooooo smart about foreign policy, voted to attack Iraq knowing that Bush was lying.

  1. W-w-wait! I thought we were fighting FOR the Kurds?!? The goal posts of this war are constantly shifting. Thanks, Bush!

Great. Now the friggin’ KURDS are going to be flying airplanes into our buildings.

  3. Dorian Gray says:

PKK isn’t “the Kurds”. They are a Kurdish separtist organization doing terroism in eastern Turkey and retreating to mountains in Northern Iraq.

There really no different then other “Iraqi” insurgents we’re fighting.

(Disclosure: Donviti, Von Cracker and I have a very close Turkish friend. We have the hol;e scoop on this story. It’s very complicated and goes back many, many, many years.)

  4. anon says:

See Jason? I knew there was a reasonable explanation.

    anon 4,

Yep. I was going to say:

    PKK isn’t “the Kurds”.

    Try telling them that.

  7. Dorian Gray says:

PKK isn’t the Kurds in the same way the Al Qaeda isn’t Iraqis. They’re blowing shit up in Turkey, not Kurdistan or Northern Iraq (or whatever you want to call it). The regular Kurds already understand this. There is no need to tell them.

These guys are bad news. The Islamic and secular Turks are together on this and believe me they’re not together on much.

I’m anti-Iraq war and anti-Bush and anti-God and all the rest of it. But sometimes you have to kick the bad guys asses.

  10. anon says:

No, no, they will greet us with flowers after the bombs stop falling.
