One #$%#$^&&$%#@$%^& extremely rich Turkish cult/mafia….big big big mafia leader used his influence on court to ban all blogs based on wordpress due to bad comments about him on some blogs. Under wordpress.

after reading this post by a Turkish Citizen I decided to contact a Turkish friend with many contacts overseas.
I sent this email to him today:
Hey (protected)?
Did you see this post on our blog?
there is a Turkish Citizen on there that says access to the website was blocked in turkey!
Just thought you should know…
His reply:
I just talked to my friend from Turkey and yes, he said he can not get in..That is very very very weird.
I will try to find out tonight when I talk to my soccer forum buddies. They are pretty good for these stuff…

I don’t think all of wordpress is currently banned. It WAS banned, but now it is select sites. At least,that is my impression.

***just in case: it may not happen here but in case one of you get banned by a site or if somewhere is banned in US, just go to http://www.anonymouse.org , type the site’s www address, boom, you are in. Thats what Turkish dudes are doing now.
*** According to court’s decision on 7/11/07, ban/block on worldpress is lifted. Someone sued “a” worldpress blog and court blocked worldpress blog during the court. They made a mistake by blocking all of worldpress blogs.
