Lofink Still Missing

Filed in National by on December 5, 2007

Where the heck is he?

Chilling with our millions on a beach in Mexico?

Chilling in his parents basement playing with his wii?

Chilling in some FBI lock-up in Virginia?

Hey, Chris Barrish – at this point you can remove your head from your ass. I don’t think you are going to find him up there.

Doesn’t anyone else think it is odd that this guy is accused of stealing all this money is just “missing” and nobody seems very bothered by that fact?

Is it me?

There’s a lot more missing than Lofink:

What were the controls used that Lofink supposedly ‘beat’? State Officials can’t divulge the controls. Why not? There weren’t any. Idiots.

How did Lofink manage the taking? State officials can’t divulge that. It would show that low level employees just walked off with the money because State Officials paid to be in charge weren’t.

Barrish’s article points to nepotism. Nepotism is not the problem. The problem is that anyone in almost any state department can do or not do anything at all because unqualified, lazy officials just take a paycheck and ignore problems.

The claim of secrecy is simply and completely hiding incompetence.

If he was a poor white or a minority everyone would know where to find him: in the care of the DE Dept. of Corrections. What we now know is that in Delaware rank still has it’s priviledge(s).

In this situation and the fiasco at DPC big heads should roll….or this ain’t the ‘liviable Delaware’ we were promised. LOL.

maybe he is hiding at Grotto’s?

  5. disbelief says:

If he was a poor white or a minority who kept his/her mouth shut he/she would still be ripping off the State because it took an outside tipster, twice, to catch the theft.

    dis,

wouldn’t the IRS have to uncover this at some point?

  7. disbelief says:

Once the culprit(s) is/are convicted, the IRS will demand penalties and interest on the amounts taken (assuming the theif didn’t declare the amounts stolen on his tax return and pay the tax due).

Its easier for the IRS to just wait for a conviction, then go after the money owed.

But we don’t even have an arrest yet according to TNJ.

It absolutely drives me crazy to hear responses from State officials explaining their own incompetence by saying, “I wasn’t involved,” or “Its secret; we can’t tell you,” or, worst of all, ignoring problems and hoping the problems will go away or no one will notice.

I keep hoping, even though its frustrating, because I’ve seen what competence and integrity can do. Look at Denn, or Buckson, or Eaby. They actually show up for work, solve problems, and institute proactive measures to prevent problems in the future. I’m hoping I can include Markell within this group of government officials who actually make an honest attempt to perform their duties.

“If he was a poor white or a minority who kept his/her mouth shut he/she would…..” be in jail trying to find a pro bono attorney. Let’s not kid ourselves.
