Releasing the NEI report that Iran has not been working on nukes for four years is  BAD news because it hurts Mr. Bush’s ability to PREVENT war with Iran by bombing them under false pretenses.

Now we have to go to the international community and have real old-school factual facts to bomb Iran.

Dang it!

I loved the President’s speech explaining that the intelligence screw-up in Iraq caused him to step in and personally improve intelligence so that we know that Iran is hell-bent on developing nukes so actually the war was a good thing in that its proved Iran is evil and should be bombed even though they don’t have bombs themselves because our intelligence service is now great because of me.

Does this guy go back and listen to his own speeches?

It’s truly sad to see how far they will go to give the appearance that they may be correct.

They remind me of the Sicilian from the Princess Bride movie.

Attacking Iran militarily is not something I’m advocating, if that’s what your link to me is attempting to imply.

Back in October, Bush changed his locution on Iran to say that we had to prevent Iran from acquiring the knowledge to create nuclear weapons. Previously he spoke of stopping them getting the weapons themselves.

If this NIE is correct, it looks as though the Iranians may be trying to take Japan’s stance to nukes — they have nuclear power, they can enrich uranium for those plants, and it is widely known that they can ramp up to enrich bomb-grade material and put together a device pretty quickly. Still, the stumbling block for the Iranians remains the enrichment process. Enriching for fuel is not so hard, but enriching for bomb-grade is notoriously difficult. A thumbprint or microscopic metal shaving can completely shut down a cascade. The science is relatively stable, but the process to get to bomb-grade is almost an artform.

Me, I am entertained by the new conspiracy theory that that the CIA is trying to undermine the POTUS.

    Oy.

I think you morons are missing the bigger picture. When our secret fake intel is no longer secret radical Islam wins.

And at that point, we will be forced to destroy the village in order to save it.

And then replace our next round of nuclear bombs from the Chinese, because with their current labor policies they can make them cheaper, and even use lead, thereby giving Bush-supporting arms dealers substantially more in profits….
