I believe Methane is a gas.  A gas which is a carcinogen too.  So is it possible that by not passing gas when you need to (holding it in) that you are making yourself a higher risk for Colon Cancer?

    According to a documentary on South Park, failure pass gas when necessary caused spontaneous human combustion but when everyone began free flatulence, global warming worsened.

    Could this be true?

    Some historians claim that when a favorite of Emperor Claudius expired in his presence as a result of suppressed flatulence, an Imperial decree allowed any Roman to pass gas in the presence of the Emperor.
