Winners so far: Obama, clinton & Edwards

Losers: Brian Williams, and that other fat head Russert. Too many inside baseball, horse race questions.

God this is painful. 45 minutes in and not a single legit question.

  2. John Feroce says:

Where’s the rest of the field?

  3. anon says:

“Where’s the rest of the field?”

Shooting pool and chilling with Tancredo and Brownback, I guess.

  4. John Feroce says:

    Tancredo and Brownback have withdrawn.

    Kucinich has not.

Dodd has, but he recieved votes tonight, go figure? Happened last week too…weird.

  5. cassandra m says:

Kucinich is excluded by the network. He sued and the NV Supreme Court upheld the network’s decision. Don’t know all of the details here, but I don’t think that a news organization ought to have the keys to participation to a Presidential debate.

  6. John Feroce says:

Why does Clinton keep saying “this is a Black/Brown debate?”

What’s she trying to prove. I think she’s baiting Obama.

  7. John Feroce says:

    Sorry..I’ll slow down after this,

    Clinton – “I’m against illegal guns…”

    make it stop, please.

  8. John Feroce says:

    Sorry..I’ll slow down after this,

    Clinton – “I’m against illegal guns…”

    What a genius.

    make it stop, please.

F*cking tweety. I hate the post debate BS. All this transparent Hillary shilling – it is disgusting.

Overall, I thought it was great. Terrible start with all the BS, but good substance toward the end.

  10. Dana Garrett says:

I felt like they were all just splitting hairs. The debate needed a contrast.

    It needed Kucinich.

  11. Tyler Nixon says:

I agree with Dana. I was looking forward to the real differences Kucinich could have elicited. When I discovered he was excluded, I decided against wasting my time watching it.

By all accounts it sounded like a bunch of insiders’ baseball anyway. (How shocking, what with that pompous ass Russert moderating and all.)

  12. jason330 says:

All these TV talking heads get to moderate a debate and all they can do is preen and try to show off to other media types.

  13. liz allen says:

Kucinichs first suit to the Nevada Supreme he won! MSNBC wouldnt honor that court order and filed an appeal, he lost the appeal. Kucinich would have forced all three to answer real questions, which is why they loved it that Corporate media NBC, MSNBC had their back and challenged the Supreme Court decision where corporate media prevailed.

Do we want corporate media picking our President? Chris Matthews, Dan Abrams are the worst pundits trying to push a “two person race”…Hillary and Obama. They pulled reporters off Edwards, made the best candidate Kucinch look like a freak…and now they are trying to push out Edwards. If you listen closely you will here all those corporate networks speak 10 times more using Hillary and Obama, as they do Edwards…on the repub side…they want McCain or Romney…everybody else should get out of the race.

Russert was dispicable in my opinon, all of them are so “self important” and so determined to keep “good candidates out of the race” and then ask stupid questions of the candidates, making the election a “horse race”. Where are the questions as to global warming, what will you do to turn the economy around, what will you do about Afganistan, Pakistan, Social Security, Nafta, Cafta! What will you do to end corporations sending our jobs overseas! What will you do to stop the 35,000 lobbyists in DC, making a mockery of democracy?

All we got was “feel good questions and responses”. Are you sick of the corporate media picking our candidates! Are you sick of media not telling us the truth about the faulty voting machines in America?

The pundits think of themselves are “stars” not providing all sides, unbiasedly and giving us an opportunity to make decisions for ourselves based on information.

Would have been informative to ask each one of them. who are your advisors, who have you or will you surround yourselves with to bring about this “hope and change” you speak about.
