I liked the NJ commenter who said that the other driver should have been fined for following too close infront of Wharton.

    Countdown:

    1) Wharton hits another car hard enought to cause damage and to promt a bystender to get the lic. number.

    2) Wharton claims thinks it mught have “rubbed”

    3) Wharton goes home and sits around for a few hours.

    4) Goes to walk his dog and claims to first notice the damage.

    5) Calls State Police.

    6) Never says who his passenger was.

    7) Gets the “leaving the scene” charge dropped.

    8) Pays a token $41 bucks.

I think Lofink still has the edge.

  3. David says:

Hmm, I think I might have to run for Attorney General. The benefits for losing are very enticing.

  4. cassandra m says:

Maybe his “passenger” is doin’ hard time for the crime….

  5. anon says:

Wonder how much that truck driver gets fined for clipping Jill Biden.

  6. Whoever YOU want it to be says:

Hope the ‘Jill Trucker’ can get his attorney to insist a legal presedent was established in the Wharton ruling…..and that the rest of us benefit from this Wharton’s case too. 🙂

  7. jason330 says:

If the over/under line is $41.00 – I’ll take the over.

  8. FSP says:

I’m sorry, but there’s something about that phrase – The Hammer of Justice – that’s so cool. It’s very rare that you come up with a phrase that deserves its own theme music.

  9. donviti says:

actually, it’s rare to you because you don’t know what good writing looks like

  10. FSP says:

    “becasue” I don’t? “becasue?”

You butcher the English language on a daily basis, and you are questioning others’ writing skills?

    You’re priceless.

  11. Von Cracker says:

Remarking on an obvious typo has to prove something, right? But what is it…..hum?

  12. liberalgeek says:

Props to Dave for using the right version of the word you’re. And it was a bold move to use a plural possessive with others’.

It takes so little to make me happy.

  13. donviti says:

spelling error or not my guess is you will still be able to figure out I’m calling yoiuanidoti

  14. liz allen says:

The hammer of justice should have come against that sinister minister accused of sexually molesting a 9 yr old girl…his punishment…out on $1500 bail…wonder what Judge ruled?

That story tells wealthy pedophiles “its okay you just gotta have $1500 bucks and an out of jail card”.

  15. G Rex says:

Remember, it’s not actually writing unless it was published in TV Guide fifty years ago, so why worry about grammar or spelling?
