    I guess the nostalgic grandfatherly memories of Reagan Thompson evoked just don’t cut it anymore for the GOP.

    It’s a good thing. Iran/Contra, 10s of thousands of innocent dead Central Americans murdered by Reagan’s proxy forces, Reganomics which was an utter failure but became the GOP template to shunt income growth to the wealthy at the expense of the middle class and poor –who wants that again much less be reminded of it by another GOP character actor?
