strategy wise, don’t you think this gives a better lift for Obama? and maybe he and Edwards worked something out so that he quits before super tuesday?
So sad. Why do the people who speak the truth end up being the also-rans? Kucinich and Edwards said what needed to be said and it just went thunk with the voters.
I thought he was going to stick it out too, but I suspect that his anemic vote count and slowing fundraising is making his decision.
He has been making some great points on issues that hadn’t really seen the light of day. I would have loved to have seen him come into the Convention with enough delegates to give him the ability to influence the nominee.
And speaking of Obama — I’ve gotten two mailings from his campaign at my house in the past week or ten days. Impressive pieces and am glad to see them working so hard here.
Edwards was my candidate as well. I thought his message of economic populism would resonate more strongly with voters. But when he did not win in Iowa, he just didn’t have a Plan B.
I just hope that he doesn’t endorse Hillary during the primary season. While I don’t think he will, remember the ‘private meeting’ that was reported in the press last week between Clinton and Edwards?
I think he wants to be AG and I think he’d be a great one…as long as he doesn’t have to sell his soul for the position. Of course, if he endorsed Barack, now that’d be another story!
I ‘ve been hanging out over on Eschaton this morning and the word was the people are pissed that they paid into the Edwards campaign on the promise that he would hang in until the convention.
Sorry to see John go. He brought many important issues into the dialogue.
This could help Obama in some states, but I’m worried that it could throw Georgia to Hillary. I was counting on Edwards to split the white vote in the south.
Wow. I thought he was going to stick it out.

Glad you posted this; I was just about to send Edwards some more money.
send it to me instead…
JRE for… Attorney General? Secretary of Labor?
I have to think that Obama gets the majority (maybe not a huge majority but more than 53%) of Edwards supporters.
Sad day – wish he was taken more seriously by the MSM….
Here’s to Obama then….

Oh well, Onward with Obama!
that’s a rhetorical question right Rebecca…

Now it’s time for Edwards supporters to suck it up and get behind Obama, just like Dean supporters sucked it up and got behind Kerry.
