Damn! I wanted to see the pictures Madam X claimed. I’ll bet they didn’t look like DV’s modeling portfolio. The airbrush would have broke on curing Still’s ugly.
I don’t think you’ll find a bucket boy in Brian Bushwaller. If you start out by trash-talking someone you know nothing about you don’t offer much encouragement.
Actually, I have met and spoken with Mr. Bushweller. Seems like a fine candidate. All I’m saying is Adams is a powerful man and only one or two Dem Senators seems to have the cajones to go up against him.
Bushweller is not exactly the kind of candidate that we need. I agree with Mike on this one.
For me, his long stint with Carper coats his aura with black goo right off the bat.
I googled him this morning and see him as someone who’s career has been not much more than his head stuck in the tax-payer’s honeyjar.
What can someone like that bring to the table for DEM progressives? NOTHING, at first glance.
You have more to share, Brian? Bring it on. But we have likely been burned by Mr. Ennis (jury is still out on that one ) and we won’t stand for more same old-same old follow the party-line food chain BULL.
I should also point out that once this powerful incumbent (Still) is out of office, it’s very likely the District will fall in the hands of the huge Dem. registration advantage. Dems have roughly 50% more registrees than the GOP. Unless the GOP can dip heavily in the Independent category, then my guess is Bushweller will breeze to a win.
People seem to forget that the ONLY reason Thurman Adams is President Pro-Tem today is b/c a certain Democratic senator who had been counted in the progressive (granted, all things are relative) column flipped the night of the caucus and supported Uncle Thurm, giving him his victory. This particular Senator is now widely regarded on this blog as being on the wrong side of the windpower issue. I’ll just leave it at that.
Seems to me that it’s quite appropriate to ask Bushweller whether he will support a reform slate in the Senate or whether he will back the Adams/DeLuca/Cook business-as-usual crowd.
If the political tsunami that appears to be coming actually hits, Bushweller is a shoo-in. Don’t know that I’d wanting to be running for State Senate with Mike Protack or some other nonentity carrying the gubernatorial banner.
Nancy, I share your concerns about somebody from Carper’s staff but I know Brian and he’s always been a straight shooter with me. Granted, he’s not as liberal as we are, but he’d never get elected in that district if he was. I have always found him to be honest and that’s about 90% of the battle.

Go Brian Bushweller!
Shame….as much as I despised Still, all we need in the Senate is a another water-carrier Democrat to bow to Thurman Adams.
No one wins in this equation.

Won’t matter. Bushweller isn’t going to be IN the Senate. Hutchison’s a far better candidate.
To you, Dave, ALL Republicans are better candidates.

Mike — Registration numbers aren’t everything. Hutchison was the mayor of Dover for a very long time and is far better known than Bushweller.
It’s a fairly conservative district, and they love Jim Hutchison.
If the political tsunami that appears to be coming actually hits, Bushweller is a shoo-in. Don’t know that I’d wanting to be running for State Senate with Mike Protack or some other nonentity carrying the gubernatorial banner.
“Bushweller isn’t going to be IN the Senate” . Yea Dave, and neither was Ennis.
