I’m not kidding when I say I put her on par with Bush
I really can’t stand this woman and the flat out lies disgust me at this point. I was listening to Hillieary this morning on NPR and I was yelling at the radio. My 14 y/o daughter was getting a lesson in how to listen to a politician not answer a question. If you have the stomach feel free to listen to her speak for 7 minutes.
take this reply:
Hillary Clinton says the results of Michigan’s Democratic presidential primary should count, even if Barack Obama’s name did not appear on the ballot.“That was his choice,” she says in an interview with Steve Inskeep. “There was no rule or requirement that he take his name off the ballot. His supporters ran a very aggressive campaign to try to get people to vote uncommitted.”
WHAT!? ARE you freaking kidding? Yes, Hillary, it was his choice to follow the rules and not campaign there at all and not put his name on the ballots. Seriously man, how do people support this? GRRRRRRRR
UPDATE: Von Cracker adds some nice info too from Daily Kos…
Senator Clinton caught lying – admits to breaking her pledge on Michigan

This morning, on NPR, Senator Clinton admitted to breaking her pledge to the DNC. She stated:
“… we all had a choice as to whether or not to participate in what was going to be a primary. And most people took their names off the ballot, but I didn’t. And I think that was a wise decision because Michigan is key to our electoral victory in the fall.
This is a direct and unequivocable violation of her pledge to the DNC and Democratic voters. She signed a pledge not to campaign OR PARTICIPATE. Here’s the relevant section of the pledge (pdf):
THEREFORE, I (Hillary Clinton), Democratic Candidate for President, in honor and in accordance with DNC rules, pledge to actively campaign in the pre-approved early states Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. I pledge I shall not campaign or participate in any election contest occurring in any state not already authorized by the DNC to take place in the DNC approved pre-window (any date prior to February 5, 2008).
By her own admission, she has broken her pledge.

Let’s see… loyalty over competance. The Florida vote. Politics of fear. Never admitting she was wrong or saying she is sorry. Defending her supporters while demanding Obama’s resign…
Yeah, DV… I’m seeing it.
Obama shares are still trading in the mid 70’s becuase Clinton is so far behind on delegates that she needs to win in PA with a huge margin AND get Florida delegates seated. [even if she gets FL seated polls right now have Clinton netting (max) plus 12 delegates in PA)
I’m not counting chickens because the Clinton game plan is to try and trip up Obama using ever Republican tactic she can think of – but – I’m still optimistic.
That said, Obama can’t play prevent defense.
If you told me Karl Rove was running the Clinton campaign I would believe you. This just makes my brain hurt.

Damn your lying eyes!!!
Wait a minute!!! You have a 14 year-old daughter? Last I saw you, you appeared a youthful, Greek-goddish 25, and Mrs. DV a fresh 18 years old.
Do you time travel?
past life dis…
that’s the middle daughter too
So you and Mrs. DV consummated your vows when you were 10 and she 6 years old?
You really are from Delaware!
Mrs. DV II
Back to the point, Clinton needs to drop out now because I happen to know some people who think what she is saying about Michigan makes perfect sense.
Well, excuse the hell out of me for a mini thread-hijack.
So you’re saying you know some stupid people?
Yep.
lol, he’s talking to one

I don’t think the pledge included removing their names from the ballot. If it did, wouldn’t they all have removed their names from the Florida ballot as well? No one forced the other candidates to remove their names from the ballot. It was a blunder on their parts. It’s kind of whiny to suddenly cry foul when they could have done the same thing she did. Just saying.
As far as I’m concerned, Michigan should do a re-vote, but FL should stand as is since no one campaigned there and all names were on the ballot – the playing field was level.
The Obama campaign has done quite a bit of whining over the past few months – it seems like the Clinton campaign is spending most of their time apologizing and soothing Camp Obama’s bruised feelings. Enough, already. He needs to man up. The stuff the Clinton camp is throwing at him is NOTHING compared to what he will see in the GE. He will never survive if he doesn’t develop a thicker skin. Oh, sorry, I mentioned skin. I better be careful lest I be thought of as racist.
The Democrats have a history of nominating the biggest wimps because they appeal to the far left of the party. Both parties need to start looking at candidates who are closer to the center. It looks like the Republicans have finally nominated a moderate who’s not a Jesus freak. At least they’re moving in the right direction.
Obama will have a tough time in the GE because he can easily be painted as completely spineless. He has no military experience, and he has been very vocal about his anti-war sentiment so he will be easy to paint as a dove. These are things that appeal to liberal bloggers, but they’ll hurt him in the GE. All those nice red states he’s been winning in the primaries will go to McCain. I smell John Kerry all over again. Another arrogant intellectual who would rather snivel than fight back.
My question is whether everyone thinks Hill and Bill were always like this–even when Bill was Prez and so popular–and if not, when you all think they changed….
Hey Seriously,
Clinton only turns people off as she continues to slither in the gray areas. We don’t need a leader who shuns the rules. To seat the delegates of the states that went against the rules would be ridiculous.
Do overs are what is demanded here. Anything less is a farce of the highest order.

As for anti-war candidates, to have stepped up against the invasion and occupation of Iraq wasn’t a dove move, it was brilliance.
With this article and the current one, it seems that y’all are somewhat more than slightly displeased with Senator Clinton. Admittedly, I’ve said before that if it were a choice between Hillary Clinton and Satan, I’d have to give the devil his due! 🙂
But there’s still a chance, and not even all that remote a chance, that the lovely Mrs Clinton will be the Democratic presidential nominee. Come November, unless you plan on voting third party, your choice would be between John McCain and Hillary Clinton. If it comes down to that, what will y’all do?
