Copeland the Victim

Filed in National by on March 14, 2008

Dave says:

“Sen. Copeland just happened to be in the room when leadership decided to hold up wind power, just happened to know when the D.C. lawyer was hired, just happened to have breakfast with the guy before the hearing when the PSC is ambushed…”

And yet he made none of those decisions. Adams, DeLuca and McDowell did.

Here we go again, the impotence defense. Funny how Charlie Copeland can be a big man during his press conferences, but when he gets alone with DeLuca and McDowell his is just a cowering little pansy. Poor guy.

Here is the thing. We know that as the McRae grilling was getting underway, Copeland told Peterson that he was in on the short notice strategy meetings and what is worse, he was in agreement with the “PSC on trial” strategy. So if Dave’s boy if just the victim of circumstances why doesn’t he at least correct the record? Why not call Peterson a liar? McDowell has.

For that matter if what Dave says is true, why doesn’t he call out McDowell and DeLuca? More points for “open government” right?

Why? Because he can’t. Peterson is not lying and McDowell is not date raping him.

Copeland and McDowell’s juice swapping on the Blue Water Wind is consensual. That is obvious.

You’re talking about positions and strategy now, not open government. And it was McDowell’s responsibility as chairman to inform Peterson.

How absurd! It is a legitimate position to question the BWW deal. I personally favor it though I think financing should be spread out to all rate payers if we all can benefit from it.

How does this turn into an attack on Senator Copeland for supporting a better run government? You are letting your dislike for the Senator get in the way of the fact he is doing something right elsewhere.

    Let’s try persuasion not derision.

Don’t upset Jason’s delicate conspiracy theory!!!!

We all know it’s just du Pont envy. Every dumb hick who spends more than 15 years in the state expects to be part of the family. Jason is just suffering from the letdown.

    So…..in chorus, gentlemen…..

    HA HA

When I feel beads of sweat hitting the back of my neck and Copeland whispering in my ear as a Senate aid comes running into the room with a tube of KY and Charlie says “I promise I’m not thinking of your ass”, I still remain a bit nervous despite his oral intention.

I hate how parochial this argument is. If we do not get wind power from someone and turn our state into a hub of energy production we are at the mercy of a commodities market that we have no control or leverage over. We need to move into that future? No- we need production and leverage over energy production or you might as well turn off the lights, shut the doors and close up the windows at the little state house when the bills start coming with past due notices on them. Faster please.

Most people who heard McDowells 10 minute rant…knows he was lying, and Peterson told the truth. Its obvious that McDowell knows he can only trust those in his little band of minions, and couldnt take the chance of involving Peterson….she would not have kept his deception quiet…he knew that. I still wonder why there isn’t an investigation into where this man actually lives? He has not only deceived the majority of Delawareans, but is deceiving the constituents in his district.

As a non-native Delawarean, I am suspecting that this: shut the doors and close up the windows at the little state house when the bills start coming with past due notices on them is truely The Delaware Way.
