Created by a Republican media consultant (the guy started working for Reagan!), well, let him tell his story:
I have always taken a low, or no, profile in campaigns, as I learned long ago not to become an issue myself. But as I approach 62, the impact of another Republican in the White House on my 9-year old daughter, my 39-year old son, and 1-year old grandson, drives me ever deeper to the radical center.
I admired and supported the John McCain of 2000, less so the John McCain of 2004. And, now I barely know the man, who he is or what he really stands for, and against.

Wow! I wish the Democratic candidates would start talking like this. This is what we are waiting to hear.
I kinda liked the 2000 McCain. Whatever Rove said to him after South Carolina really turned him into a shadow of his former self.
Stuff like this reminds me why the national head-to-head polls against McCain don’t say all that much yet. Once McCain starts getting a serious critique from the left (which he has never really had before) — including how the Straight Talk comes out of both sides of his mouth — independents especially should take a second look. Hillary has a special challenge here, but driving up McCain’s obvious negatives ought to be her forte.
And I definitely liked the 2000 McCain too. I was especially outraged about the whispering campaign Rove launched against him in South Carolina — robo-calling repub voters to push poll them to leave the impression that McCain had a black child. Did I mention this was in South Carolina? McCain and his wife adopted a kid from Bangladesh, certainly demonstrating more family values than Bush, Rove and those South Carolina votes could ever muster.
But McCain has decided to sell his soul to make the Reagan coalition love him and this is his weakness.
This is absolutely frightening! PTSD, anger and the button! No John, No Way!
I have to confess that photo of McCain hugging Bush has always weirded me out. His hug occurs w/ such abandon and w/ his eyes closed, he reminds my of my 4 year-old son. He’s like a child.
And the way Bush is kind of pulling away nervously…it makes me wonder if he was weirded out too.
