The question posed that way would make me say “No”. But if you stated it like: “If you allow the government to make you safer would you accept a larger paycheck?”, then you’ll see the rubes fall in line.
Turn this question on it’s head. “Would you accept a smaller paycheck (i.e. higher taxes) if the government will take care of you (security, socialized medicine)?”
I think we could have both a bigger paycheck and more liberty if we choose to change our foreign policy and allow the peaceful rise of a multi-polar world.
You keep blogging right now and you will have all the liberty you can handle!!!! D’oh! 😛
How much bigger?
Sorry, DV… I jumped on top of your post again. Delete mine, if you’d like. I swear I’m not doing this on purpose!
