Middletown is trying to change part of its charter and that change needs to be passed by the Delaware General Assembly. It is the kind of thing that routinely sails through both houses, but this one is being held up in the Senate by Harris McDowell who is using it as leverage with the town council to approve a zoning change for the house that was left to him by his father.
Unreal.
The guy is truly beneath contempt.

Al, the way Harris has set up the SEU is looking like either he (or John Byrne) will be annointed king of the multi-million-dollar quaisi-public agency by right if we let them do it (if the legis votes for this package).
OK, if that’s what he means. I was wondering how it applied to him trying to get a zoning change. He’d be trying to do that under any circumstances, IMO.
