Well, Lieberman is going no where in this Congress. He may be literally kicked out of caucus meetings due to his status as a spy, but he will retain his chairmanship of the Homeland Security committee until the next Congress is seated in 2009.
And if he continues his smears of Obama, he will lose that in the next Congress, for we will not need him anymore. If current projections are correct, then we will have 55 Senators without Lieberman. We won’t need him for the majority, and then he can live with the consequences of his actions.
Lieberman creeps me out. He is like some kind of hybrid political chameleon who always seems to be show up on the wrong side whenever it really counts.
Amen to both of you! I have developed an unhealthy obsession with Lieberman. Honestly, it’s becoming personal. He is everything I dislike in a human being – again, too strong?
It all started in 2000 with the recount nonsense he had.

He stabbed the Gore campaign in the back during the recount when he went on Meet the Press and agreed with the Republicans that illegal military ballots, which were unsigned, undated, and not post marked, should be counted.

He was always one to point out the bad liberals were on a political jihad against the left of center moderate Joe Lieberman, just because Lieberman lied about the Democratic nominee and campaigned for a Republican.

According to Bob Novak, whom I hate to quote but he is usually right on these inside Washington scoops, Colin Powell will be endorsing Obama in the coming weeks, and there is speculation that he will keynote the Dem convention.
This was in his latest column today at the Washington Post. So which is the better get: Powell or Lieberman?

Powell has a shit load of “Hail Mary’s” to say to atone for his UN presentation.

Yeah, I used to love Powell until that UN Speech. But imagine a convention where he says:
“I was wrong. The President was wrong. John McCain was wrong. But Barack Obama was right.”
Geek – McClellan lied, too, but not because he was 100% informed. I have made no secret that I did not want this administration from Day 1 and I stand by that. As soon as I heard Cheney was to be the *cough*VP*cough*, I knew we were in for some ass-f***ing. Then Rummy. Yeah, we were sold out. I was one of the few who vomited on that Kool Aid before it touched my lips.
Powell was used, at least in my opinion, and then tossed out to the garbage. He’s a good catch.

Colin Powell still holds clout among the masses, so I’ll take the endorsement. The republicans can have Lieberman… with my blessing.

Let me see, there are two frontage ‘looks’.
The first is two very LARGE fonted words with a coin centering them, all in black and white.
Next, after a choice of post is determined, the entire thingie switches to a duo-toned copper-when-it-has-patina’d to green and a too-red-wants to be buckskin brown.

Nancy, those colors are the actual colors of the state flag. Are you saying our state colors look like puke?
DD – on my browser, the color of Liberal is kind of this brownish-orange. I wouldn’t call that part of Delaware’s colors. Maybe it’s a browser issue?
When I did the blended colors on my old site, I captured our flag from our state’s website. I used the color code off of that capture to color accordingly. The two aren’t even close.
