Jack Markell Coming To A (Hayseed) Town Near You

Filed in National by on June 27, 2008

At the end of the first day of his 57 town tour, Markell is opening his Wilmington office.  Jack has a lot of smart young people working for him so hanging out will be fun. (I know I’m such an bad ageists liberal Dom)

Anyway, I have to be in court that day (don’t ask) so it will be something for me to look forward to.

Jack’s Announcement / Wilmington Office Grand Opening
Wednesday, July 2nd
6:00 – 8:00 pm
Wilmington Riverfront, Shipyard Shops
Cost- $25 (come for free if they have given the max)

After that Markell is pounding the pavement….

Look below the fold to find out when he’ll be in your corner of the boonies.

I do hope he’ll be driving around in a hybrid. Air quality issues in DE are already so bad without a Newark to Fenwick swing on the 4th…

And what the hell kind of town name is Woodside, anyway?

A true sign of desperate measures.

The itinerary does seem a bit odd. DE City and Middletown on one day and Odessa on the other end of the multi-day schedule. My guess it’s more thought out to people’s availability (say an Odessa person is around on the 2nd, but not the 5th, they can go over to Middletown), than it is to geograpahical proximity.

Jason, aren’t you suppose to be supporting Carney now?

hell of alot better than being named after a NJ slum

  5. Andy says:

Besides he should go to Slaughter Beach on the Independence day best fire works in the state

Andy – it’s actually an inside joke.
