Former VP Nominee
shameless
“between one candidate, John McCain, who has always put the country first, worked across party lines to get things done, and one candidate who has not. Between one candidate who’s a talker, and the other candidate who’s the leader America needs as our next president.”’’
It is 2008 and we still question one’s patriotism. This comment coming from the guy that lost his primary to Ned Lamont, then switched to Independent. As if he didn’t put himself above his country or his state.
That same candidate doesn’t know the difference between Sunni and Shia, doesn’t know the leader of Russia and didn’t know that one country hasn’t been around for over a decade. OH and he left his wife while in the hospital
Four years ago…..

Questioning patriotism of Democrats is the only thing that Republicans (and Joe Lieberman) have. They’ve been wrong about EVERYTHING for eight solid years. What else are they going to talk about?
I haven’t so much seen people questioning Obama’s patriotism as I have them questioning his character. Questioning a man’s character, even harshly, is fair game in politics and it damn well should be.
Character matters, huh? So you’re okay with McCain’s adulterous behavior?
Mike, when you say that a candidate does not put his country first, you are questioning his patriotism. Questioning his character would be asking if he is honest, or is he trustworthy, or is he honorable?
I have not seen any such character attacks on Obama.
I have seen attacks calling him unpatriotic, like Joe Lieberman above, and I have seen attacks I consider to be racist, like the celebrity ad and the “one” ad.
Pandora, of course he is. He still supports Newt Gingrich, who is a serial adulterer who left two wives on their deathbeds. He still supports Rudy Giuliani, who cheated on all his wives. He supporters McCain, who cheated on his wife and then dumped her because 1) she no longer was attractive to him because of a horrible car accident and 2) Cindy was younger and richer.
McCain is a sleaze, but he has the character-conscious Mike W’s full support.
Fucking hypocrite.
“I have seen attacks I consider to be racist, like the celebrity ad and the “one” ad.”
Those ads didn’t have one damn thing to do with race and you know it.
BTW – I wouldn’t vote for Guliani if you paid me. Oh, and McCain ONLY has my support because of just how bad Obama is. I think McCain is a terrible candidate.
So… character isn’t an issue for you? Geez, Mike, if your issues stem from policy then stick to policy. You throw up character and then ignore what a scum bag McCain is.
I haven’t so much seen people questioning Obama’s patriotism as I have them questioning his character.
you just saw it dipshit
Why can’t both policy AND character be valid issues? I dislike Obama more on BOTH fronts.
And I didn’t say McCain never attacked Obama’s patriotism, only that much of what he’s done has been aimed at Obama’s character and naivety.
Personally, I thought the “The One” video and the celebrity video were great on McCain’s part. The morons finding race in those videos (and yes, they are morons) can find racism in nearly anything and ascribe it to anything they dislike.
Mike is about to have one of those, “does not compute, does not compute” feedback freakouts that Spock used to give computers on alien worlds.
There is no way you can say “character counts” and then say you support John McCain.
Those ads didn’t have one damn thing to do with race and you know it
really? why didn’t they picture him with Oprah? Samuel Jackson? Some football stars? Rap Stars? There aren’t black celebrities out there?
Only young white women are to be compared with….
Character mike?
like leaving your sick wife for a trophy wife?
that’s character and judgement all in one.
Obama is still on his first wife. man what a prick
“There is no way you can say “character counts” and then say you support John McCain.”
If my choice is between two shit sandwiches I’ll choose the one who can do less to damage this country and it’s underlying principles.
So mike, then you do support Bush.
No, I don’t. I’ll be quite happy to see him go.
So how is McCain different then?
I give up! I’ve decided Mike has a split personality disorder.
McCain has virtually no redeeming qualities in my mind. I’m voting for him for only one reason. To keep Barack Obama out of the White House.
“I give up! I’ve decided Mike has a split personality disorder”
Good job with the projection again Pandora!
so then you support bush and think we are on the right track. Good to know you are a sheep and baahh like the rest of them.
You don’t like Bush, except sometimes you’re okay with the war in Iraq. You don’t like McCain, except you’ll vote for him even though you don’t like Bush. You have a problem with Obama’s character and feel it’s a legitimate issue, BUT you don’t have a problem with McCain’s character, or maybe you do, but you don’t care when it comes to him.
Does that about sum up your position? And you know what’s really scary? My question is dead serious.
My dislike of Bush doesn’t = automatic support for Obama. Are you really that dense?
I’ll refer you to a few things I written in the past on Obama.

“so then you support bush and think we are on the right track. Good to know you are a sheep and baahh like the rest of them.”
Says the sheep who enthusiastically supports Mr. “HopeChange”
Mike W, here’s the deal, you live in Delaware, so your vote for McCain won’t really matter. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter, but I’m sure you get the gist. Anyway, there are plenty of third-party candidates out there, why not look for one. Wouldn’t Barr fit your bill better than anyone else?
he can’t hear you, when the voice of reason speaks out he sticks a 9mm in each ear and screams
lalalalalaa
You seem to do a hell of a lot of that DBB, sans the 9mm of course.
My dislike of Bush doesn’t = automatic support for Obama. Are you really that dense?

So why does your dislike of Bush = a vote for McCain. Nemski is correct. You don’t live in a swing state. Vote 3rd party.
Personally, I do think you like Bush and McCain. You’re just embarrassed to admit it.
Got anything to back up yet another unsubstantiated claim Pandora…….
Bush is an embarrassment, no friend to civil liberties, and really no friend to gun owners at all either. Hell, he (and his Justice Dept.) didn’t even sign onto the Amicus brief in support of Dick Heller although Dick Cheney did. Bush’s Justice Dept. supported DC.
I’ve got pages and pages and pages of endless Mike W. comments.
You love guns. That’s what I know. Actually that’s all I know about you.
“You love guns. That’s what I know. Actually that’s all I know about you.”
If that’s the case then reading comprehension > Pandora.
Wanna take a vote on that, Mike?
We could run a contest. DL’s most reading comprehension deprived blogger.
Who do you think would win?
Personally, I do think you like Bush and McCain. You’re just embarrassed to admit it.
I like McCain’s wife. And the best part of liking her, McCain wants me to like her. I’m still having dreams of Cindy performing as Miss Cow Chip. Mmmm, cow chips.
I’m betting she is doable with a some good coke and a few hits of “E”
I am beginning to question the mental ability of the folks who are posting here. Why would you waste your time debating a mental midget like MIKIE W ???
NEMSKI It’s Miss Buffalo Chip
Likewise TT – although sadly all you can resort to are personal attacks and juvenile name calling.
You are that which you accuse others of being.
