McCain Forgets, Example #1,387,259

Filed in National by on August 15, 2008

In the video clip below, the pretend President, John McCain, who has sent a pretend delegation to Georgia, thus traitorously interfering with U.S. foreign policy, says that the Georgian-Russian War is the first serious international crisis since the end of the cold war.

Let that sink in.

Since 1990, in McCain’s mind, there have been no serious international crisises until now.

The first Gulf War, Somalia, the Rwandan Genocide, the earlier war in Georgia, the breakup of Yugoslavia and all the wars that spawned, 9/11, the Afghanistan War, the second Iraq war, the North Korean nuclear testing, the war in Lebanon, Darfur and the second Intifada are all non-serious international crisises.

Seriously, you Republicans, he is not qualified to be President, whether because of lack of knowledge and stupidty, or because the old man is senile.

And foreign policy is his strong point.

Don’t forget the USS Cole bombing, the train bombing in Spain, or the London mass-transit attacks. These were not directly part of a shooting war, but certainly important events that affected the international community.

Then, there’s the whole Myanmar monk thing, the Chinese oppress Tibet thing…………

  4. delawaredem says:

Oh, yes, there are even more crises: the twin embassy bombings in Africa, the thwarted Millenium terrorist Attacks, Kosovo, etc.

He is talking about Russian/ U. S. relations, Prince Distortion. He wouldn’t send anyone without President Bush’s approval.

None of these involved the re-assertion of Russian nuclear heft.

We bankrupted them the last time. They are now in a position to do the same to us. You think sandmonkeys are the only ones who hold longtime grudges? Russia has known from day one how we broke them. They have been working toward this for some time. Our failure (or rather, our incapacity) to act is a smile and a high five at the Kremlin.

The toothy emptyhead is not THE ONE to lead us through this time. We don’t seem some gladhanded litte f.cker rationalizing that Russia needs love too.

Never heard GWB called “the toothy emptyhead” before, but if the shoe fits…

    Good one, Grits.
