  1. I’m all in for the Italian sub fest! I’ll bring my guido tee.

“DE Blogger Chorus (Band?) Interest thread is in the works. Do you play an instrument, or like to sing?”

Soooo … if we’re not singing the same tune in perfect unison, do we get banned from the band?

  3. jason330 says:

Nah. Bad singing is not as harmful to society as bad thinking.

  4. Joe M says:

All three sound like fun. When can we expect more detail?

  5. bryan says:

I’ve heard that Robert Novak is resigning from his column since it was revealed that he has a brain tumor. Thank God for that. If that conservative curmudgeonous political putz has any honor left in him, he will go to the nearest skyscraper, get in the elevator, go up on the roof and jump off of it. He has besmirched respectable journalism. Its high time for him to go.

  6. I sing and harmonize and used to play semi-okay guitar.

yeah, Novak is probably permanently here in Delaware now. He has a house at the beach.

  7. cassandra_m says:

So — will the subs be absolutely restricted to Delaware sourced? The best one I know of is made in Chadds Ford.

The only thing I can play is my stereo, so I’m out of the signing thing. But will sign up for the conference…

  8. El Somnambulo says:

You should hear El Somnambulo sing “Vaya Con Dios”!

He can also play “Little Deuce Coupe” on the violin. Anyone got a fiddle that the Beast Who Slumbers can borrow?

  9. jason330 says:

I think it would be awesome if the best Italian sub in Delaware turns out to be from Chadds Ford.

  10. MissAO says:

Bryan #5, I’m enjoying the warm glow of your hate. Certainly your malice is your own…now just which talk radio host made you say that?

As for subs – I’ll vote Casapulla’s Italian with prosciutto is my vote!

  11. pandora says:

Actually, the best subs I know of are in Chester – yes, Chester! Delaware subs/hoagies have too much filler (lettuce, tomato, etc).

Pick a date and time. I’ll bring my subs… you bring yours. Yeah, I’m that sure!!

  12. Another Mike says:

Since St. James High School closed in the early ’90s, Chester contributed to society. Subs and Jameer Nelson.

  13. Paul falkowski says:

Best Italian sub on a fancy roll, = Mangia, Mangia.
    Best Italian sub = Casapulla.
Best Roast beef Sub = Yatzes
Best Steak sandwich, == [ oops, you said subs, my bad. ]
Best Cheese Steak, == [ repeat bad. ]
    Best Turkey sub, = Capriotti’s [ ?? new management? ]
Best sub shop closest to a murder scene, Maryland Ave Sub Shop.
Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich == [ any ] Middle School.
Best nearby sandwich of choice, WaWa Elsmere.
Blogger with worst taste, anyone who proposes Quisnos.
Best Italian Sub away from home, Cafe Napoli, Miami beach, across from Pollo Tropical.
Best Bacon and Egg sandwich, any Waffle House at 2 AM.

  14. As for subs – I’ll vote Casapulla’s Italian with prosciutto is my vote!

Me too, it is unreal. Is there a roll crisis in Delaware still?

  15. jason330 says:

It is going to be interesting. There are soe favorities out there, but also some dark horses who may surprise.

  16. mike w. says:

I have limited experience, but I’ve always loved Casapullas.

  17. liberalgeek says:

I’m all about the Capriotti’s ‘Bobbie’ and ‘Capastrami’ but for a Roast beef sub, you should go to Cleveland Ave. Sub Shop in Newark.
