Kavips Puts Me To Shame
I had to explain all of the goings on to my wife upon my return home. By the time I was done, I couldn’t write it up without drooling on the keyboard. Kavips wrote the piece that I wanted to write. Go read it. Please. Then call Chris Coons. Tell ’em an angry mob (and DelawareLiberal) sent you.
Absolutely astonishing. This should be read by every County resident prior to the primary on Tuesday — at least to ensure Clark is swiftly booted from office!
I am so glad to see something of substance locally to switch our attention to, away from the dissection of speeches and speechmakers of the last 2 weeks!! Thank you Liberal Geek..for the “Back at Home” segue…..
I made my call to Coons’ office – spoke to Shelly – very nice. She confirms they are being flooded with calls – all angry. They are funneling calls to senior staff and promising return calls within a few days. I reminded her that the primary is in a few days.
I left a message, as a member of the press, hopefully I’ll get a call back. If not, I’m calling back in an hour.
I was also just on WDEL talking with Al. We will see where this goes.
Called and told Shelly (?) that we expected Coons to take immediate action, and made clear the clock was ticking and how he handled this situation would affect our vote in the primary.
Suggestion:
Maybe for today only or for a couple of hours, you should keep your two posts on this at the top to keep drawing attention to it.
I have been on the phone w/ Deputy…..ASSURES me a “hold” is going on until they can re-look at things…AND to remember COUNCIL voted UNANIMOUSLY for this…I am encouraged w/ a “hold”..Chris Coons will do the right thing…..and shouldn’t burn for Clark’s self-interests….
Those are Coons’ self-interests as well, Joanne. He’s just as in-deep with the developers as Clark.
I just spoke to C.R. In Coons’ office. He was at the meeting last night and said that he will be trying to get Chris to call me after lunch. I believe that what we need is an executive order that will put a hold on it until Council will meet.
Then we can focus our fire on council. I’m planning on calling Penrose Hollins later today to discuss.
