Loudell Reporting Protack Surge.
He is reporting from outside several New Castle County polling stations, and has just reported on WDEL that he has spoken to not one Republican who has voted for Lee.
Could those Republicans who would have voted for Lee up here in NCCo have switched to the Democratic side to vote for Markell or Carney? Will Lee’s strength in Sussex County be enough to overcome this Protack onslaught in the North? Can an airplane pilot really win this thing?
Loudell and Mascitti are also reporting on Carney’s third party shenaningans, in using the Working Families for Delaware’s Future PAC to have people out at the polls today.
Loudell has a very unscientific exit poll:
Carney-Markell too close to call.
Protack winning in an overwhelming landslide.
Coons winning by a plurality.

All due respect to Allen, he was reporting a Ron Paul surge of voters nearly all day long in the Pres Primary. We all know how that turned out.
The Lee voters will most likely be people who vote after work.

Now that is not true. Allen came out to our Drinking Liberally event several weeks ago, and I saw him at Obama’s February rally at Rodney Square.

Dumbest anonymous post ever. Loudell is at every church carnival all summer long, teaches at UD, lectures to dozens of groups a year…it’s one thing to get it wrong, but to be 180 degrees off the truth takes true stupidity.
To judge a race by 10:00am, based on some random people who want to talk to Allan Loudell outside of a polling place —- that is stupid.

These are just unscientific ancedotal reports. We all engage in this speculation during a boring and long election day as we wait for real results.

Interesting, Mike Matthews and Jason Scott didn’t want the fusion bill to pass so….. looks like 3 party system is the way to go.
I do love the interviews with the people who know absolutely nothing about who is running, why they are voting, why they are there….. our democracy at work.

I’m with Al on that one. Loudell is a presence everywhere there’s some hot political action. I’ve seen him out at least a dozen times in the past year at events I’VE attended, so I’m sure there are others I don’t get to that he does. Also, Loudell came to the last Drinking Liberally and we all had a great time. Hearing about how he worked at the radio station in Memphis with Sam Phillips was freakin’ awesome.
Delaware’s lucky to have Loudell. Don’t be a hateful bitch!
No Lee signs up at Odessa Fire Hall. Two Protack. Neither had greeters.

I worked my polling place from 7-12 this morning. As I was putting up a KHN sign out on Main Street, I noted that there was a Gordon sign on the road and two in front of the polls.
As the morning progressed, I stood around shooting the breeze with a few Markell people, (Ezra Temko being one) and a few people for Mike Terranova. Chris Coons’ brother was there too.
About 7:45 AM, we saw a pick up pull up with a gigantic Coons’ sign in the bed. It stopped for a few minutes. A few jokes where made about why they were so late getting signs out and whether they were going to be placing that giant sign on the Presbyterian Church property. They didn’t. Coons’ brother walked up with his sign and planted it next to the sidewalk with some satisfaction.
What this is leading up to is that when I left the polling place around 10 AM, I noticed that the Gordon sign was now missing among the signs off of Main Street.
Question: who would take Gordon’s sign between 7-10AM on Main Street in Newark? Are Coons’ people that low and desparate? If I hadn’t witnessed this chain of events I would never have thought it possible.
If Protack pulls it out it would send a helluva shock through the R leadership in Delaware to finally get a clue. We can only hope.
Nancy…or…Liz….did you actually witness the Coons person taking the sign?
