What stage of grief is the GOP in?

They know their reign is over (dead) so I’m wondering where most of them are?  It seems they were all gathered in the hospital and saying their farewells for the past couple of weeks.  Then, right before we pulled the plug someone heard a beep on the monitor and they all got excited.  He’s alive!!!! don’t kill him!

Well, he’s dead (the gop) so I think most of the people that come hear are in between denial and anger.  What about you?
Five Stages Of Grief
1. Denial and Isolation.
2. Anger.
3. Bargaining.
4. Depression.
5. Acceptance.

I think they are in bargaining. They really think they can pull through if they just become a McCain kind of Republican (a lying weasel who pretends to be a maverick). Although, I think some are in the depression/acceptance stage (John Ensign).

DV, I’m not sure your links are working the way you want them to…

  3. G Rex says:

Hmmm, no. I don’t claim to speak for every Republican, let alone every conservative, but I’d say it’s going to be tough to win back Congress, but thankfully we have the majority in the Supreme Court, and we’ll most likely take the White House in November.

(Waiting for that to be slammed as denial…)

    HAHHAAH!!!!

that’s where I know you liberals have been played once again like the sacks of sh.t you are.

And I watch the mean and hurtful things that will happen to you with glee.

  5. Chris says:

Talk about denial. The news is filled with articles about the Democrats getting really nervous. Obama has been more and more flustered and reactive and polls are still showing McCain/Palin up 4 points over a week after the convention closed.

Sorry, unlike Obama, conservatives aren’t prepared to declare defeat in the face of victory.

  6. Sharon says:

The funny part is that I’ve spent the last week asking when the people here would admit their candidate is toast, using the exact same criteria (number of persons watching a speech, the graphic on the right side of the page here from electoral-vote.com). Seems to me that those in denial are on the Left. On the right, we’re pleasantly surprised.

  7. Kilroy says:

Do us all a favor never sellout and stay true to your cause.

I learned something hanging with the Republicans! As long as you drink the kool-aid without questioning it’s bitterness you are welcome. But dare insist the kool-aid taste like piss!

  8. G Rex says:

So Kilroy, how did it taste when Lieberman was nominated as Kerry’s running mate? A bit salty, perhaps?Just curious.

  9. Kilroy says:

    G Rex
“So Kilroy, how did it taste when Lieberman was nominated as Kerry’s running mate? A bit salty, perhaps?Just curious.”

So what is it the left trys to reform the right and when they do we’re sill asswholes! I never like Lieberman and Kerry is an ass! I was alright with McCain early on but dam the man is senile.

I was worried about Obama re: foreign affairs but am much more comfortable with Biden by his side. Joe might put his foot in his mouth but head doesn’t have his head up his ass!

  10. Chris says:

It is you in denial I am afraid. Obama may be Lord High Counselor here in the North East, but he is still struggling throughout other parts of the country. Talked to a friend of mine in NC who was wavering at one point between the two candidates before Palin pushed him toward McCain. He said, not suprisinngly, that Obama is unpopular in NC. But what surprised him was the fact even the African-Americans in NC are declaring support for McCain. And Obama was so confident he could flip NC.

” But what surprised him was the fact even the African-Americans in NC are declaring support for McCain. And Obama was so confident he could flip NC.”

Oh, Chris, I’d love to see that poll! Of course, it doesn’t exist. FYI, Obama never claimed he was going to flip NC. He has a fifty state strategy… and you know what? It’s working.

  12. Linoge says:

He has a fifty state strategy…

But that means, by his own admission, he is leaving 10 states out of his strateigic planning! Whatever shall he do?!

    It’s working.

Is that why he is getting progressively more behind on polls, and is currently behind on your sacred metric of Electoral College votes?

If that is “working”, I would be very afraid to see what “failing” is.

  13. mike w. says:

Linoge. I guess it’s the same kind of “working” they talk about when they talk about how successful gun control is.
